I was. That was weird. In Britain, we never have any earthquakes, so this is my first one...Kind of funny a feeling too.
This vacation is turning out to be quite interesting!

What part of the Northeast? I'm in the Boston area and felt nothing. Although, I sleep pretty deep.
EDIT - Earthquakes around here rarely happen.

Well, the epicentre was in upstate New York, and measure 5.1 on the reichter scale. Apparently it was felt all the way from New York State, all the way down to Philadelphia.
I'm staying in New Hampshire at the monent, and I felt it pretty good...

In New Jersey I got woken up by leafblowers at the crack of 7:30. Then fell back asleep until 10:00

I live in New Hampshire and it was my family's shrieking that woke me up, not the earthquake itself. 
This makes me wonder though. This region of New England used to be highly volcanic, as is evidenced by all the mountains up north and an overabundance of rock formations. Now, in the span of almost 400 years we have rarely experienced earthquakes here. But three years ago there was a slight tremor around the lakes region, and now an even bigger one took place today. Perhaps New England is starting to act up again?

I did. I thought I was dreaming. I didn't realize what had happened until I got online and read about the quake. BTW, I live outside of Erie, PA. (that's in the NW part of PA)

Oh! Oh! I get to trot out my earthquake story. You know how animals are supposed to be super-sensitive to earthquakes and go all apecrap right before they happen? Well, about 15 years ago I was sitting on my waterbed when a tremor started shaking things up a bit. Things were sloshing around, and I certainly noticed it. My cat, on the other hand, not only slept through the whole thing, he snored loudly the whole while.
