I agree, Hero is amazing.  not the most romantic song out there, o'course (and you can tell everybody, this is your song), but it's up there.

Well, actually, I think I'm just in an uber-romantic mood. Made myself a whole CD of romantic songs, and started crying at half of them. So maybe "Hero" isn't the only really romantic song out there. :P

Most romantic song ever = Hello by Lionel Ritchie
But that may be because I'm biased. I'm a big fan.
ANyhew, they overplay Hero on the radio. First few months was ok, and I learnt to play it (very very very simple song to play) on the guitar. I like the fast version better tho.

Oh yes, I forgot about that, Thank You! And then there's The Rain Song and Tangerine, but to me Thank You is the greatest Zep song.

I prefer "Your Song" when it's sung by Ewan McGregor instead of Elton John.
As for the most romantic song, while "Hero" is nice, there are a few others I think are more deserving of the title:
Goo Goo Dolls - "Iris"
Lifehouse - "Breathing"
Savage Garden - "Crash And Burn"
Train - "Drops Of Jupiter"
Particularly that last one, still one of my favorites.
