80's cartoons rocked, 80's action TV rocked, and I loved Nintendo!
Too bad I was born in '86. I didn't get to enjoy it for much longer.

Born in 1982 and definitely a child of the 80s. I hated the 90s, a boring and sarcastic decade characterised by (generally with a few brilliant exceptions) special effects driven, no-brainer blockbusters, bad music and generally speaking a stagnating culture. I mean, when you think about it, virtually nothing has changed between 1992 and 2002. Hopefully, we'll experience some kind of cultural movemnet soon. At least films are getting better.
But anyway, best cartoons EVER!
He-Man!
Astro Boy
Mysterious Cities of Gold
Ulysses 31
Captain Harlock
Danger Mouse
Count Duckula
and countless others

Of course Technology has changed, radically, but culture hasn't. The way we dress, the music we listen to and the TV shows on TV have barely changed in the last 10 years, when compared to the changes seen in the 60s, 70s and 80s

Agreed but most of the world's social structure and economies have changed drastically, catering to the internet and tech.

The LOTR movie was an excellent move.
Does any one remember Conan The Barbarian?

Oh yes I agree, the internet is one major change. Still, you know what I mean. I just didn't like the 90s.
And yes LOTR is a brilliant movie, which is why I just said at least films are getting much better, generally, than they were in the 90s
