Anyone Like Teen Films? - A Survey

I obviously do since I started a thread or two about them...
Anyone else like them? If so could you answer a few questions:
(Note: Any film where the characters are well into their 20's and dealing with those problems doesn't count, so no Kevin Smith flicks or college films. Sci-fi and Fantasy are both allowed, but not spoofs).
Which period?
Classical: 1980-88 (Ferris Bulers Day Off, Weird Science, The Breakfast Club, etc...)?
Middle: 1988-95 (Bill and Ted, Waynes World and Clueless)?
Modern: 1995-99 (She's All That, 10 Things I hate About You, Trojan War, etc...)?
Post-Modern: 1999+ American Pie, Election, Bring it On, etc...)?
I like modern myself, Post-Modern is less escapist and I prefer more traditional themes...

As for teen movies these days, I hate them, I hated "Shes all that" and anything along those lines, when I see them, I thnk that my iq drops a couple of points each time I see one

Some teen films are okay, but for the most part, it's a very weak genre.

There are good movies from each 'period.' It's a matter of whether it's good or not, not what style its in.
Which film is your favourite?
This is a tough one. I'll go with Ferris Bueller, although I reserve my right to not stick to my guns.
Favourite character?
Cameron from Ferris Bueller[/u]!

"...nothing!"
[b]Most attractive character?
Nadia from the American Pie movies. The first one moreso than the second.
Character in who's situation you would most like to be?
Bill and Ted. They're both stupid! 
Most hated film?
Bring it On. I can't believe I sat through that whole movie.
Most hated character?
Tracey Flick. The character was supposed to be disliked, and they pulled it off!

Let's see:
Favorite Teen Movie: Tough to say. Ferris Bueler is great, loved both Bill and Ted movies, as well as Angus, and Donnie Darko is up there now, too.
Favorite Character: Angus, from Angus. Pseudo-preachy, but he's probably one of the best portrayals of a real teen I've seen.
Most Attractive Character: Naked Shannon Elizabeth, aka Nadia. 
Character in Who's Situation You'd Most Like to Be: Umm...most situations are bad. Maybe if I kept control in the famous American Pie scene.
Most Hated Film: I didn't care for Clueless, though I'm not sure if I hate it.
Most Hated Character: Any Freddie Prinz Jr. character!!!

It's hardly one of my favorite genres, but there are a few exceptions. Most recently, the raw and emotional Y Tu Mama Tambien and the guilty pleasure Cruel Intentions.

May aswell do my own survey then:
Which period?
Like I said modern. Though I do like older and more recent films I think that the 'day' of teen flicks has passed since about '99. I hope it returns. I admit I have seen few of the early 80's flicks (I was only born in 1981).
Which film is your favourite?
Tricky... Bill & Ted were the funniest, but I don't normaly watch teen flicks for the comedy. Its probably a tie between She's All That (sorry Cow Girl) and Trojan War simply for having the finest female leads. Clueless gets a sympathy vote, partly because it reinvigorated the genre after the early 90's slump, partly because it was the first teen flick I saw, and partly because it is in fact rather good.:)
Favourite character?
Hmm...maybe the psychopathic bus driver from Trojan War...;)
Most attractive character?
Tie between Laney Boggs (Rachael Leigh Cook) from She's All That and Leah (Jenifer Love Hewitt) from Trojan War. Honourable mention to Brooke Kingsley (Marley Shelton) from Trojan War and Missy Pantone (Elisha Dushku) from Bring it On. Of all of them Leah probably wins as the only one likely to be friends with anyone like myself.
Character in who's situation you would most like to be?
Brad from Trojan War. Before he goes out for the condom anyway...
Most hated film?
Even I could find little to excite the blood in The Faculty.
Most hated character?
Most hated because they were evil: Brooke Kingsley (Trojan War)/Taylor Vaughan (She's All That)
Most hated because they were rubbish: Dennis Wallace (Get Over It)

Personally, I am not a fan of these teen films and only more recent one I have seen is Whatever it Takes, which I thought wasn't too great if you take away James Franco.
