Bigfoot, Lockness sea monster, etc what people thought they saw were evil, dangerous, and monsterous (a word?)
Now, I am very open minded about these things, I believe people saw these things.
But, perhaps they are not really monsters?
What if they are regular animals, with Abnormalities?
Bigfoot could be a GIANT APE out of norm.
LockNess sea monster, could be a HUGE SERPENT of some kind, sticking it's head out of the water... could be a rare Dinosaur species?
Perhaps they are just really Weird animals, no more, no less. And they aren't as scary as they seem. Maybe they are like tigers, and able to eat us humans, but they won't, cuz we are MORE powerful than them!
What do you think?

If these types of thing exist, I don't think there would be any reason to think they are dangerous to man. As far as I know, no one has ever claimed to be attacked by one of these animals.
There would be no reason to think of them as evil, not any more evil than any other wild animal trying to survive in the world. Evil requires a conscious thought to do something that is wrong. If a bear or a cougar attacks and kills a person, that animal isn't evil, it is existing in nature.
If these types of animals exist, and because they are so elusive, I'd say it's certainly a case of "they're more afraid of us than we are of them".
I find it hard to believe, in this day and age, with the sorts of technology that exist, that these animals would be able to avoid contact with humanity. At the same time, I'm sure there are many parts of western North America that have never been touched by the hand of man, and if the sasquatch population is small enough, they could possibly evade us.
To the best of my knowledge, humanity has never found any evidence of the existence of a sasquatch. Skeletons have never been found of dead sasquatch. We have never found any other dead animals that show signs of being killed by a large primate. Even the "footprints" that have been found have been debunked as hoaxes.
If any of these evasive creatures truly existed, I would think the sasquatch would be the most likely to be found. The North American Western Mountain ranges are near some well-populated areas, and are frequented by many visitors.
Just because we have no evidence of a sasquatch's existence doesn't disprove the many sightings of them over the years. Also, proving or disproving the existence of one such creature does nothing to prove or disprove the existence of others. For many years, the mountain gorilla (I believe) was such a legendary creature, but then we found them, and we now know that they do exist.
I agree with you that (assuming they exist) sasquatch are likely some kind of lower primate (possibly indigenous to North America) that were driven into hiding by the early humans who populated North America thousands of years ago. If the Loch Ness monster exists, it could be some kind of surviving dinosaur (not unlike crocodiles and aligators) that lives most of its life at very low depths, surfacing rarely.
To be honest with you, I'm more worried about getting attacked by a grizzly, cougar, or even a mountain sheep if I go hiking through the Rockies than I am of even seeing a sasquatch. If I ever visit Loch Ness, I'll be more afraid of getting attacked by a drunk Scotsman than by any sea creature (no offense to the Scottish intended).

It's taken three years, but here it finally is: 1000 (mostly coherent) posts (plus the 5 or 6 hundred that got lost in the Snowboard transfer).
I guess I've had my say.

Woah. I just watched a documentary exactly about this on the history channel. Maybe you were watching it too.
Basically it talked about the dinosaur species that is supposedly living in the 50 000 square kilometres of rainforest and swamp in the Republic of Congo. It also talked about Bigfoot and had a believable guy who had encountered one, as well as that famous doubtable footage that was shot of one.
Personally I believe that there are species that we haven't discovered on our world.
Take for example the strange noises that are being detected from the Deepest reaches of the ocean. What scientests call "Bloop". Some have speculated that there is an undiscovered supercreature down there that could be the largest creature on Earth.
There's a link here about it.
Fascinating stuff.

I saw a really weird duck yesterday, it was big, white and had a really long neck.
Hah, people laughed, they scoffed and tried to tell me it was something called a swan, but to the true believer it was the elusive big, white, long necked duck of doom.

Wrong?
If a man is hungry he will eat bread to cure his hunger, is it wrong? if a man doesn't like bread, perhaps this man only likes mushrooms, is it wrong for this man to prevent starvation by eating what will keep him alive?
in short, pff!! to you and your wrongness.

I believe that there are weird creatures out there that haven't been discovered. But I'm sure that there is no lochness monster or something like that. A huge creature like that would be found quickly with all those people looking for it. The real mysterious creatures either live in the deep oceans or in mostly uninhabited places.

I'd say scotland is pretty uninhabited so the theory for there being a monster in the loch is still valid.
I believe that the many sightings are not of something in the lake, but in fact something on it, something big,
something white (not vanilla ice),
something longnecked,
that's right it's the duck of doom.

I think that the Loch Ness or some form of a giant "Sea Serpent" may in fact exist. Hell they still haven't found the Giant Squid yet so anything is possible. Those new "bloops" they've been detecting in the ocean, sound pretty prmoising though...

It is TRULY Fascinating Man, a lot of mystery animals and places we still yet to find, explore on earth...
Some of these places, too dangerous for human I guess to enter, like a cave or something.
Or deep ocean, without like a really heavy search team, (about 100s) of submarines, you probably couldn't find them.
