I like ska. All sorts of stuff - Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Supertones...
and a band that I see hasn't been mentioned yet: Madness.

While I enjoy the ska/punk bands, my favorite ska bands are definitely the older classic ones. The Specials, MobTown, Skavoovie and the Epitones, etc.
I actually saw a concert in San Diego that featured The Specials, The Aquabats, and Cherry Poppin' Daddies (back when they still played ska) all on the same bill. There was nearly a fight between the two-tone Specials fans and the goof-core Aquabats fans. I was in a real quandry, being a big fan of both bands. Made me want to beat myself up.

FIF rules, they are always fun to listen to and how many other bands can gave a band member named Jeff the girl? Supertones rock too, they have a SW shout out in one song, "supertones strike back just like leia's father" tis very awesome.

Ska's far from dead, it's just back where it was before the upswing in the mid 90s.
I'm a fan of the Bosstones, Reel Big Fish, and of course the great Dance Hall Crashers.
As far as Sublime, they were more of a rock/funk band than ska.

Sorry, I can't actually take credit for Ska. I did have a lot to do with Kenny G, though...

Anybody lik Mustard Plug? I have info on their new album!!!!
Recording was finished this month in Detroit.
Colin Clive's new band, Moniker, has been playing shows around Michigan. It's not ska, but they're pretty fricking cool!

Ska music is great; I was in a Ska music video as an up-scale dancer back in '95 for the "Skeletons". A two day shoot, quite an experience and a lot of fun.

I've heard of Mustard Plug. I was searching for the Lolita soundtrack on audiogalaxy and downloaded a song by them called(suprise suprise) Lolita.

Well said AmadeusExMachina!
For those of you who believe that Ska is dead... it is in fact NOT DEAD but rather got really popular for a while and now it isn't, so people assume that it's dead.
