I'm 20 (about to turn 21) and I don't think he's that funny. I hated Big Daddy, but Happy Gilmore had some funny scenes.
Overall I give him a big  . (on a scale from  to  )

I'm 34. I'm easily entertained, though. I likely favor the Waterboy since I love American Football. It's also amusing to one my age to see Henry Winkler playing such a wuss, when for years growing up I would see him in Happy Days as the Fonz, the coolest guy around. Plus it mentions the Michigan Wolverines. A lot to love.

"Happy Gilmore" was the only good Sandler movie. He was funny when he did "Opera guy" on SNL, but that is about it.
EDIT: Oh, his new movie looks like it's gonna bomb.

I'm a young teen and I think Adam Sandler is pretty dumb for comedy. Waterboy had some memorable lines, but other than that, it was dumb as can be. I started to watch Billy Madison and I hated it. All the other movies look dumb too.
See, not only old people hate him.

I liked Sandler in SNL. The reason I can't stand most of his movies is that he stopped being the fairly innocent, good-natured comic he was then and he seems to have decided to play obnoxious characters 24/7.
Typical formula for a Sandler movie:
- Sandler's character in a mean-spirited jackass to most everyone, save for a dear family member or the object of his affection.
- Despite this, everyone seems to respect and even admire the character.
- Sandler WILL save the day/win the girl in the end, and we'll cheer, but only because the villain of the picture will always be just a tad more worthless than his own character (Happy Gilmore), or because his brain-dead supporting cast insists on hailing him as a wonderful person (Big Daddy.)
For the record, I'm 25.
