I am seeing the movie tonight and have deided to halt reading reviews as all of them seem to want to post spoilers and outline the whole plot.
Overall, it seems that is getting a generally good amount of positive buzz but no one is going ga-ga over it. Seems like this one is focused on action and not plot. IMO, the plot and set up was in the first one, so this is the one for action. One critic compared said that it suffered the same problems as Empire Strikes Back, which actually makes it look positive IMO.

I trust Ebert's reviews about as much as I trust myself in a jet fighter.

Angelus:No, and I'll tell you why:one, because, you know, I'm evil. So the whole friends thing, that's out.
And two,if I did have friends they sure as hell wouldn't be living in my head

In the United States, tomorrow is the day of reckoning. After 4 long years, the first sequel to THE MATRIX, THE MATRIX: RELOADED, hits theaters. The film then sees release across the world over the next three weeks (last stop Japan, June 7th).
After the film, it might be good to sniff around the official site. Tomorrow brings some new content to these parts. Dig deeper. Always deeper.

Has anyone heard about The Matrix Online MMORPG?
The game allows players to go into the Matrix as operatives, blah blah blah...
But the most interesting thing is that its set after Revolutions. Is it me, or does that seem to be a major spoiler? Will the Matrix still exist after the third film?

Hoo hoo, seems I'm the first to weigh in on Reloaded.
Well, the original is like a religious experience for me, so obviously this one could never replace it in my heart. That said, there's some pretty friggin' sweet FX here.
SPOILERS
Agent Smith ruled. He's just so deliciously evil now.
The Twins also kicked ass, although they didn't have much screen time.
The Merovingian was kinda creepy, although he seemed like a goof sometimes. But his werewolf and vampire henchmen were nice.
There wasn't nearly enough naked Trinity.
END SPOILERS

WOW!
Just got back from the 10:00 showing. Absolutely amazing piece of film. Will have to see it a few more times before fully reviewing it.
BTW Don't stick around for the Revolutions trailer. The one circulating around the internet contains the same stuff but is a bit longer.
