Yea, I remember him, I just don't remember the possibility of him being the son of Lionel...

Emperor_time, I think you may be suffering from delusions. When the heck did they EVER hint at Lionel being Jason's real dad. Tha anser is NEVER.

Anyway, awesome episode tonight. Best all year. Thi is still the worst season so far, by far, iff or nothingelse than the introduction of KAra (who hopefuly gets the boot before Season 8). But the episode was still crazy cool.

Next week looks great as well. When they showed Lex discovering the fortress,w as I the only one reminded of the same scene in Superman II? "It's his home! It's Superman's home!"

I loved tonight's episode! For sure the best ep. this season! Or last, for that matter, as far as I remember... no wait, the Justice episode was great! Anyway...
Lex is now pure evil! skull Do you think his 'conscience' is gone for good? Is this the begining of Lex Luther's rise to power?

Definately! That was the significance of the whole episode, not the least of which was the murder of his younger, innocent self.

Also, did you catch the moment at the end where Clark and Lex were staring each other down like that? That was coo. It's like "this is the beginning..."

Okay, so Thursday's episode was pretty much the worst episode in the history ofthe entire series. And maybe all other sereis. Looks like the show's only going downhill from here.

Right. plain Not only was the whole James Biod thing incredibly stupid and not at all funny, let's take a mintue to examine how Jimmy, who can't even tie his show without being a total dork, is suddenly a super spy. Add in an incredibly head-smacking dance scene where suddenly he and Chloe are Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers.
And, okay, I know Lex is powerful and all, but can he just halt an FBI "investigation?" I use quotes because thse people had literally just been assaulted by Jimmy and had loads of tangible evidence. They pretty much had Chloe nailed as a terrorist, but apparently he can just make anything dissapear.
Ultimately, the whole thing seemed to be written by a five year old.

And don't even get me started on the idiotic time travel plotline. "Hey, they wnt back in time and changed things so that this page is different. Wait, then why can we remember that it was different? Becasue a FIVE-YEAR OLD WROTE THIS SCRIPT! I retract that. A five-year old could write a much better script.

I must agree, Emperor. If you dislike the show so much, you know what, slimy? You can leave! I personally can't wait to see where this time-travel plot goes! It sounds very comic-book-like! Looks like something I could really get in to! grin

So I can't criticize an episode?

Okay, actually, truth be told, I'm not much of a fan anymore. I mean, the show has turned to absolute and undiluted crap this season. I remain watching, however, in the vain hope that maybe it willget better with season 8. Of course, the only way that can happen is if they get rid of Kara.

Kara has hardly been around the latter half of the season and the majority of episodes you complain about don't have Kara at all. tongue The problem isn't her...its the disjointed nature of the season. Clearly they wandered into season 7 without a proper direction and don't know where to take it. The fact the two creators jumped off the sinking ship instead of seeing it through to the end tells you that there is no plan really they are just pulling stories out of the their collective asses. tongue Really the series should have ended not long after Jonathan Kent died. Since then its been limping about without direction.

To be fair to the people behind Smallville, this season we saw the writers' strike. If the writers' strike went through the entire season, they would have had to rush all the plot points and film the season ending finale. Once they knew that the writers' strike had ended, they had to have a rewrite. I'm sure some episodes had to be changed around and scenes and plots that were supposed to be in one episode were probably filmed for another episode.
