The droids in this series are actually a threat unlike in the newer series. Well at least in Season 1 of the new series the droid humor was over the top. Not sure about seasons 2-4.

The droid humour in the 2003 series was done extremely well.
    "How many, a thousand?"
    "No."
    "Eighty?"
    "No, sir."
    "What, fifty?"
    "Less."
    "What, come on, how many?"
    "Two."

I love the good humor between the B1s and their commanders. The same way a B1 just said "Riiiiggggghhhtt...." to Lok Durd's long speech about promotions. LOL

These days we do not get as much as fun villains... fun and menacing at the same time!
    I miss Lok Durd.

    PS:

    This is poetry!

I miss Nuvo Vindi. He was a fun villain, even if the episodes he was in were awful.

His episodes were better than most of the S4 episodes like Umbara or the Hardeen arc.

    PS:

THE QUARREN ARE EVIL AND EPIC... they are Not Nossor Ri!

Hey Dan_Grievous_Tikkes_Fan have you read Legacy? There's some cool Quarren Sith in it. One of them helps create a Sea Leviathan to attack the Mon Cal.

I think there was one more called Maleval. Quarren just make for cool villains due to their Squid Look!

CW 2003 dialogue didn't say much, but it said it well.

Yeah, Darth Maleval only lasted one issue before being shot by his own troops. The Darth Azard/Vul Isen pair was great, though. Seriously, it's hard to mess up anything to do with Mon Calamari. Which is why the season 4 opener still baffles me in it's scarcity of awesome.

I like the new series a lot (except for some select arcs), but the CW micro-series will always be my favorite, I think. Short episodes cut out all of the filler and got straight to the point. Never took itself too seriously, which was great.

Exactly! Sometimes the new series just takes itself too seriously, forgets to have fun with itself and becomes pretentious.

In some of these battles you need only a few words like the way Obi-Wan talked to his clones and ARCs, not like Umbara were there was mainly filler-talking.

Most of the times - less is more!

Yes, micro series didn't take itself too seriously, unlike TCW. Ironically I view the micro series as the more serious series. :p

THe latest seasons of TCW lack this kind of jokes. These days if there are any jokes, the jokes are slapstick.
