Hmm. More thoughts about structure and balance.

So far we've had:

There's a structural flow there. I think if we follow the formula the next 3 movies should be all on the Light Side in feeling. There would still be adversaries, but...the Light is now prevailing.

ST:

EP 7 / Light Side / Mysterious Figure / Someone who relates to the religious aspect from the 3rd film to follow​

EP 8 / Light Side / Government / Perhaps the New Republic takes hold, finally does away with the last remains Empire, or battles last major threat.​

​

EP 9 / Light Side / Religion / Structure of the Force. Perhaps the Force is finally balanced or restored to harmony.​

Perhaps not only aren't there Sith anymore, but there are no more Jedi as well. Just force users - beings who use more light and dark side of the force. ​

 

I hope they decide on and announce the title as soon as they finish the script. The earlier they announce the title, the more fervor the audience response is when it scrolls up on the screen...

 

I like the method of you're approach. There's a parallelism in the word count of each title, too (3, 4, 4), for what it's worth. Following that model:

VII: New Force Rising
VIII: Birth of a Republic
IX: Triumph of the Force

Would they really repeat the word "New" in the next films? Because a New Hope already uses the word "New."

 

Well that title was speculated in a spy report with many credible elements in it, so I would say there's a chance anyway. Yeah it's a bit repetitive, but of all the names for Episode VII I've seen thrown around, I have yet to hear one I like more. Besides, "of the" has been used three times already, so a little more repetition doesn't seem out of the realm of possibility.

 

I would say "Of The" can be repeated because they kind of do not count.

 

I think people look too hard for rules that these titles have to follow. If it works then it works, and that one happens to work for me. If they surprise me with something more original then great, but there are a lot of worse ideas out there.
