Should there be trophy points for number of years registered?

In noticed that the trophy Quaternary 25 points is awarded to users that have been members for a year, but what about after that? Should there be a trophy awarded for each year registered?, every other year,? every three years? Every five? After 10, 15, 20?

Discuss.

 

Perhaps there should also be an official poll about this

My two cents:
It should be more creative and something to look forward to... and not just another year, another 10 points. So maybe every two or three years we get something really cool or something awesome every five.

Your status is decided by how many trophy points you have, not by posts.

I think it's a cool idea, like bonus point for every year. 10 points for 1 year, 100 points for 10 years kind of thing?
Maybe even colours or perks like that for certain years (like 5 and 10)

I think there should be trophy points for every 3 years. I'm assuming Disney is going to release the ST every three years like all the rest of them were. This way the people get a boost after every movie.

The whole system is weak at best. TF.N is forcing titles onto the users that some don't like - for instance I'm not a fan of, nor do I really enjoy Jedi - yet here I am, Jedi Grand Master. Yay for me.

 

There's a reason for that choice: the place is called Jedi Council.

 

Make the post count between "ranks" greater (and award trophies for certain milestones 1,00 posts, 10,000, 20000, etc) Like, for instance, a person should remain a youngling until they've racked up at least a thousand posts, and gotten the 1000 posts trophy, or whatever.

Nevermind, I see your point now. I didn't notice before that trophy points were being rewarded for having posted 30 times and stuff like that.

 

I personally think titles should go by age and not post count. Sorry anyone who signed up after 2007; I don't care how many posts you have, you're still a newbie to me.

I'll be fine if I get a title that reads "Smart@$$" or just simply "Jerk". I really don't care about stars or trophies, I just want my snark to be recognized.

It's about knowing your audience.

 

Trophies for one, two, five and ten years. Also for five, ten, twenty-five, fifty and seventy-five thousand posts. Need to make the gaps between post count trophies big enough that there really is no point in actively chasing the next one.

 

I like the idea of opening up to suggestions for the trophies.

I agree... going from "youngling" to "padawan" after a hundred (or however many it is) posts is silly. I think they have it set to the same settings as the temp board, still. The lower limits there made sense, because we weren't going to be there long term.

 

I personally would take out the trophies and allow for user title customization after a certain number of posts. Having both the ranks and the stars is silly.

 

I agree, the various staff and VIP tags make distinctions based on title rather pointless. Plus custom titles are fun.
