Where is the FanForce Leadership?

My name is Jeff Fisher and I am the Chapter Representative of R2-Detroit, the FanForce chapter in Detroit, Michigan.
I took control of the group about 2 years ago when I discovered it and found that it had been abandoned by the previous leadership. I re-started the group from the ground up, and have been working hard to build awareness and membership.
The top FanForce 'leadership' has basically abandoned their posts. There is zero support, and zero communication. Information on the 'official' FanForce section of theforce.net has extremely dated information, with the majority of links being broken. It took me over a year to find even a working email to find someone to update the contact information for R2-Detroit on the site. A Google search for the FanForce gives you the FanForce news page, which hasn't been updates since September of 2012. Even the "How to join" link in the FAQ is broken. Really???
I have gone over just a few of the FanForce web pages on theforce.net and created a list of the broken links, invalid email, and outdated information. I will paste this list at the end of this message.
I just think that this is sad, especially with the recent events that (at least my group feels) will produce a huge amount of interest, reaching new and old fans. I would like to welcome these new fans with open arms, but right now the FanForce is making as difficult as possible for these fans to find us and become involved.
If something can be done about this, now is the time to start, not after new and reinvigorated fans have already started looking for a group get involved with. Most Star Wars fans know of, or have heard of the 501st. Besides the fans that are in the FanForce, I have never met anyone who has ever even heard of us. With the number of current, or future Star Wars fans out there, there is no reason why the FanForce cannot be as large as the 501st. The 501st if cool, but there are plenty of fans out there who are not interested in costuming.
    Here is the list I put together on just a few of the FanForce web pages;

We are well aware of the situation on the FF main page, and we are discussing how we should proceed in making it better. With the move to the new boards there has been a bit of restructuring in many regions, and that is also something that isn't reflected on the main page.

I want to say thank you for doing this work, and I totally understand your frustration about the situation. :)

As of today we have started a discussion in our mod forum about what needs to be done, and what steps to take. I want to make it into something more than just updating old information though, and I rather let it take some time and make it good, than trying to just patch things up.

Pretty sad I must say. I wonder if they really looked at it. It's not hard to fix links.

This would be a great time to really kick the FanForce into high gear before the new movies come out. Our chapter has been very active by adding more than Star Wars to the mix (to keep us plenty busy), but I know we'll be doing more Star Wars events once the movies start coming out. So it'd be great it we can get all the ducks in a row to where we can really start reaching as many people as we can.

I would be happy to volunteer to help fix whatever needs fixing.

    Hello there.

I know I have spoken to some of you before but I want reiterate here for everyone as a newly minted Administrator.

First of all, Star Wars is entering a new chapter of its history and so will FanForce. There will be changes to FanForce as a whole to reflect the new era we are coming into. Regarding the FF.N site, it is but one item on our agenda with the upcoming changes. Please understand that there is more to it than simply relinking content and it will take time to thoroughly plan and execute that vision.

For now, we do have the Official FanForce FaceBook Page growing at the moment.

Please share and stay tuned for future updates as it develops.

I thank you for your patience and also for your continuous support and love for the GFFA.

Is there a more complete set of rules anywhere? Looks like this thread: http://boards.theforce.net/threads/fanforce-rules.27174273/ had them, but appears incomplete (it literally cuts off in the middle of a sentence). I know each Chapter sets its own additional rules once they're established, but I'd like to post the universal rules of becoming a FanForce (and maintaining its status) on the FanForce facebook page and just wanted to make sure I had everything down. Thanks!! :)

I would post the first 5 rules, but skip the 6th one. Since we have restructured and aren't using individual forums any more that part will have to be rewritten.

I'd like to formally ask if I could be appointed as a GSA or an RSA for my region. Preferably a GSA as I believe I could really help push us forward and keep things moving. I helped start our Chapter back in 2004 and have been active the entire time and really see the potential for FanForce all across the world. All I ask is for the authority to move forward with many of the things we've already discussed. I'm willing to put in the time. Not looking to take over or anything... Just wanting to help.

Very well done to you that have been working to resurrect your own regional FanForce', and the concept in general.
