sometimes the bad guy is the nerdy guy that probably started with good intentions but has now become a monster, not the racist caricatures with a large "ENEMY" sign on them.

It's also the fact that the "damsel in distress" ended up saving the day.

Basically, challenge the cliched expectations of comic book types in any way, get punished for it. Oh and the bad guy better not be working for a chick. OR ELSE.

 

I saw it yesterday. I was really liking the Mandarin, and um then the big swerve... really don't get why they did that.
I'm not sure what the reason was for the 'clean slate' either?
anyone notice there was no rock song like in the last two movies?
Right now it's feeling like my least favorite of the 3 movies. It's strange to me they said they didn't do Mandarin in the first movie because he was too far-fetched,, and then they end up going pretty far into sci-fi in this film.
And even though they stuff the suits can do is coming from the comic books, the first movie played so well for me because it seemed like it was actually possible to have a suit like that....but now they're going a bit too far.
