Kreia most definitely outmatches Corran here, she wasn't the master of the Triumvirate twice over for no reason.

 

Corran is obviously no slouch when it comes to dueling, as Luke trusted him enough to accompany himself and Jaina into the temple to battle the Sith. However, I don't think Corran would have been able to defeat a Sith with such incredible control of the Force.

All-out, Nyriss wins. She completely dominated Surik and Scourge at the same time. Neither of them are pushovers.

However, we know next to nothing of her skills with a lightsaber. An area in which we know Obi-Wan is very proficient.

 

Darth Nyriss, she was able to out-duel both Scourge and Surik at the same time and was only killed when Revan caught her off guard and reflected her force storm back at her.

(It's really difficult for me not to pull that novel to shreds again, but for the sake of the topic I won't.)

 

Yes, but Obi-Wan beat General Grevious, who had four lightsabers, and had killed many other Jedi, who weren't pushovers either.

Not to mention he defeated the Chosen One. Using Soresu. Now that's good.

 

The Exile single-handedly defeated the Triumvirate and rebuilt the Jedi Order via her training of seven Jedi Knights.

Scourge was basically Savage Opress but with a lot stronger connection to the Dark Side.

Also yes, his Soresu is very impressive... against Djem-So, when he faced Dooku above Coruscant, he got whipped like a school boy, his force barriers have proven to be weak on numerous occasions, against Nyriss that is a fatal weakness.

 

I'm sorry, but Obi-Wan, Obi-Wan, OBI-WAN!

 

I am going with Kenobi for this one.

 

Alright, Obi's winning so far, but who knows what the nest few hours could bring?

 

I fail to see how a Jedi with weak force barriers and a lightsaber can defeat a Sith Lord that can summon a force storm, Obi-Wan is not a Tutaminis user, he has no defence against her excellent abilities with Sith Lightning and it's more powerful variations.

 

Because Nyriss only appeared in a book no one likes.

And speaking of which, voting closed! Obi-Wan narrowly squeaks out a victory with the final score being 3-2.

I'll vote for Yaddle. Heck, she was on the council for 100 years. I'm sure she learned a little bit.

 

If we are not going by an argument based on canon facts and move more to arguments based on, basically, who we like more, then I doubt this is the thread for me.

 

That's the spirit of the thread, but there are bound to be a few mistakes.

 

It may be a bit unrealistic to expect everyone who is voting to adequately size up the duelists. Of course, none of us has fully read and/or consumed all of the EU material regarding these characters. Some may know more, some may know less. Regardless, this is what makes things interesting for me. The very nature of this thread incorporates a subjective element, I believe. There cannot be complete objectivity based upon "the facts."

I digress.

 

I vote Luminara, hands down.

 

This is a tough one, they were both Jedi Masters, but I vote for Yaddle. I agree with the fact that since Yaddle was on the Jedi Council for over a century, she was bound to learn more and have enough skills to defeat Luminara, who was never on the Jedi Council.
