Another year has come and gone! A new one approaches us quickly. Did you keep any of your 2013 Resolutions? What are your fanfiction goals for 2014?

Having not made any fanfic resolutions for this year, none were kept. :p

However, seeing as this is for the year soon to come, here are a few to make that will actually be doable:

    1: Actually do NaNo.
2: Write a Tales from the Corps story that does not involve my current author's pet, Laera Reyolé.
3: Try and at least start a rewrite for a previous fanfic novel that ended up turning into this horrible trainwreck of Sueness and implausibility.
    4: ???
    5: Profit!

Well, since I bumped the 2013 thread, let me just copy and paste from there:

As for 2014 goals, which are a little less lofty:

    1. Stay on track and schedule with my RPG storyline. I know it won't finish until around summer 2015 due to the constraints of the game, so for 2014 I'll be happy with ensuring that I get every post that's important to the plot up when scheduled without feeling rushed.
    2. Find a lull or two in the RPG storyline where I can put it on the back burner temporarily and write 5,000 words of pure fanfic. This can be a single story or several unrelated vignettes, just as long as they total 5,000 words.
    3. Take the novel-length plot bunny I've had for a few years and do some serious outlining on it to determine if it's suitable for NaNo.
    4. If #3 works out and my life and the RPG cooperate with the schedule, write that plot bunny as a NaNo project.
    5. Get more involved with reading others' fics.

I only had one last year...

and I failed miserably (but I had several good excuses for failing it).

In 2014, I would like to start and finish at least one multi-chapter fic.

Well...mine was 'finish a story'. Which I failed at. So once again:

    2014 Resolution:
    1. Finish one of my stories.

I have no fanfiction goals. I have original fiction goals. :D
I'm hoping to write a few vigs here and there because I have been neglecting my favorite characters for a while.
But my true main goal is to FINALLY finish a book.

I had no 2013 resolutions, but have a few for 2014:

    1. Since it's been a while, I'm going to do a Dear Diary Challenge. (An LOTR one)

    2. Run a L/M interconnected viggie series. :D I'm shooting for at least 5 posts, no fewer. :)

    3. 2 NSWFF AU threads/short stories. [face_love] (These will be in the Trek fandom)

    4. Complete a revamping/reposting thread for stuff that was truncated and/or just yummier redone. LOL

I do that with RL resolutions. :)

I know I didn't really do my 2013 ones, so I'm not going to repost them here. My 2014 fanfic resolutions are as follows:

    Write!!

    That is all.

    Copying and pasting:

1)Finish the fanfic I'm working on now.
    2)Write its sequel.
    3)Write a Sailor Moon/Star Wars crossover.
    4)Write something non-Star Wars.

Should be easy. I'm easily inspired. :p

    From last year, we have...

    1. I resolve to finish (or at least continue) Shaded Prism for UDC 5.

    Still working on it...

    2. More poetry for Thy Endless Wait.

...well, I think I found a part of it that I didn't actually type out, so... yes?

    3. Write, write, write, and write some more.

    Always...

    4. Pass my CCBMA exam... again. (That totally is a fic thing.)

    Passed!!!!!!!!

    5. Chalmun the Wookiee.

    Happened as a drabble!

My goals for last year ...

    1. Finish writing my Star Trek story.
    2. Write 120,000 words total.
    3. Edit/rewrite/finish my Halcyon trilogy.
    4. Finish every challenge I start.
    5. Finish and post at least one of the NSWFF stories I have in progress on my harddrive.

And I accomplished not a single one of them :p Which didn't stop me from making a bunch of resolutions for this year! :p

    1. Write 120,000 words (third time's the charm, right?).

    2. Finish 2013 challenges (and all 2014 ones I take on). Specifically:

    3. Complete diary on time (I swear I did finish one on time once. Once.).

    4. Finish Star Trek story (for reals this time).

    5. Get back into reading and writing Star Wars fanfic (love my NSWFF, but I want it all!).

Let's see if I can actually get any of these done!

I try not to make resolutions (since 99% of the time I don't end up keeping them), but one I'd have fanfic wise is actually finish a fic for once.

    1. To write at least 90 minutes a week. Doesn't sound impossible (knock on wood.) If I had a page of fanfic for every hour that I've spent doing other stuff while worrying about what to write...

I did not make any fanfic resolutions last year, but I do have a few this year.

    1. Finish my drabble series

    2. Finish and edit a longer fic I'm working on (I haven't written an actual multi-chapter fic in years, so I'm majorly excited about this one, lol!)

    3. Write a Star Wars fic, even if it's just a drabble or short vignette.

    1. Write fanfic.

    2. Continue working on character and other profiles to develop those concepts.

    3. Rework a fanfic from several years back to accomodate ideas and concepts that I've come up with since that fic was completed.

    4. REMEMBER HOW TO WRITE FANFIC. Seriously, you get away from it for awhile and the process eludes you.
