This is actually one of the things I've been curious about since the Disney purchase. Pixar was originally a splinter group from some Lucasfilm employees, if I'm right? And now Disney owns both Pixar and Lucasfilm. Which leaves me wondering what goodies the two teams might now develop, with it so much easier for the two to potentially work together and share talent.

Obviously, they are still separate teams, in different buildings, with different management, even if Disney is the name over the door that owns them, but it still leaves me hoping that they can work together to build bigger and better animation engines.

It seams to be a fully computer animated movie and Marvels animation division have not done that kind of thing to my knowledge. There is also the fact that Big Hero 6 seems to be aimed at a younger audience then Marvels usual animated movies, an age group that Pixar are masters of

Slight correction, but Big Hero 6 is being made by Disney Animation Studios, not Pixar.

Yep. Exactly the same as Tangled, Wreck-It Ralph, and Frozen, which could easily be mistaken for Pixar products but are not.

I'm not looking forward to the day the Mouse decides to shut down Lucas Animation, Pixar, and Marvel Animation and fold it all into the Disney machine, but it's probably coming in the long run.

Unlikely. Pixar is a very strong brand.

It all goes into the same pocket, they keep the brands / logos just to give them a distinct identity. There wasn't a Disney castle in front of Thor: The Dark World, just the Marvel logo, but that cake goes to The Mouse anyway.

Whenever a an author write something for Star Wars, someone from Disney Licensing, will be giving their input, along with the story group.
After all , future books will also be sold in the theme parks near Star tours.

_Catherine_ is correct, newdawn12. I bought the 3-in-1 volume of Brian Daley's Han Solo novels in the Star Tours gift shop during a WDW visit in January 2006.

This rumour has now reached io9 in exactly its original form. I think it might be one of the better internet comments if it gets this kind of a life span. I guess we'll hear about Mara Jade in Rebels for a long time now... ;)

Well the general concept of seeing Tython (presumably?) I am ok with.

But since when was the sith homeworld "Moriband?" I'm going to assume that's a mis-spelling of Koriban. Could be interesting.

Saw this in the Rebels thread in the TV section. Thought it was worth posting.[/quote]

That particular rumor was debunked about a half a year or more ago I thought?

I forgot all about that. You think it's just the revival of an old debunked rumor?

Carrie Fisher is to be on Big Bang Theory tomorrow evening. Does anybody else think she's lost weight?
