There is a strategy that I am currently using in the Starfighter Draft (quite successfully so far) called the "When in doubt, pick the people Mikaboshi picked." It generally works quite well....

The way I see it the championship is just me vs me anyway, so I can't lose, good luck to me.

Way to go on your first draft heels! Not a bad way to kick things off in a new draft.

Sorry to tell you though, you are going to lose badly, I am so far undefeated in not only this draft but the last one as well. I am going for a repeat and you can't stop my momentum.

Yes. They're all on the same side, but you've only got about two wingpairs' worth of people who actually know each other.

Luke/Nrin (Luke was still Rogue Leader when Nrin was on RS right? Luke stepped down around 5ABY)

Granted they all require my top two pilots, but hey, that gives me 2 really GOOD wings within this team.
Red Squadron: Luke (Red Leader)>Kyp>Zekk
Gold Squadron: Pash (Gold Leader)>Aril>Nrin

Zekk and Kyp may not have flown together, but both have flown with Luke. Aril and Nrin may not have flown together (they may have however as they were both in Rogue Squadron at the same time), but they have both flown with Pash.

One doesn't necessarily need to FLY with someone else to gain an advantage either, especially when they are flying under someone they are both familiar with. Tactics and training tend to be the same through certain periods of time, especially when you consider that Pash, Aril & Nrin were all on RS during periods of time close to each other and even overlapping, there will be a lot of inherent familiarity with almost everyone on the team (except maybe Jhoram).

The Jedi have that same training and tactics advantage, hell Zekk even flew for RS. The Jedi however have the added advantage of a solid meld.
