Pfft. When I do get ARCs they're digital--I don't rate highly enough for hard copies of stuff yet. And I don't have a network of cronies to ship me stuff like Jello.

And so the raids in the middle of the night begin...

Only not by the Mouse to snatch away all of your EU, but by the EU to snatch away your NEU.

It's always good to have cronies. They help ease the stung of jealousy that arises every time SDCC comes around and my feed is filled with pics of awesome stuff.

Though in a way, you're my crony. So I still win.

...like all the giant disturbing crowds filled with cosplayers who remind me why I'm glad that I live too far away from these things to naively talk myself into going? :p

You've really got little basis to be judgmental, Zor. :p yeah some people are weird but it's mostly just an environment full of people who like similar things and who are all there to have fun.

SDCC probably has more weirdos though -- my experiences are only with SW Celebrations which are full of people whose fandom I can actually understand, and whose costumes aren't prone to being all that scary.

Coop: have you considered the possibility that it is you, in fact, who are my little crony?

I was supposed to be, had tickets and everything...

Then BAM. 1200$ car repairs. :(

Next time. It was amazing last year, and I'm sure I'll have more relevant questions when we're getting close to ep 7 and coming up on Rebels second season.

Still, I look forward to seeing just how JJM handles the "new" continuity. I have faith that they'll preserve what makes sense to preserve and leave other elements up to our imagination.

    Darth Life, please stop.

HEDGESMFG , I can see JJM being one of the few current authors just going with the flow and taking over the new continuity. He'll make sure no one is OOC.

    *sigh*

You've just introduced a brain bug that's going to annoy me here at work until I remember what the industry term for that paperback size is.

Honestly, with MMPB and those prestige paperbacks being only a few dollars less I think the industry should just switch to TPB format because that weird higher and thinner format suuuucks...(imo).

70? Man, somebody's a jerk. I really hate people who scalp and try to rip off fans.

    Luckily I think I'll be fine :p

Well, there's another listing for half that.

Edit: Tho I see the one at $70 atm actually began at just $2, and just has had a ton of bids.

Oh. Well then the fans are crazy.

But I can hardly get judgmental on them for that! :p

They just had to put that "exclusive advanced reader's edition" tag on the book, right?. Nothing bad would come out of that xD

Every time someone says "advanced reader's edition" I picture the regular book but with, like, much longer words.

But then they would have needed to change the title on the front cover too.

    Sigh.

Reasons why I hate the Internet. Convenience at the expense of knowledge :p

(Sorry, that's not aimed at you. Just long weariness at things like wiki, google translate, and the Wook :p and people who argue that learning is outdated in the age of instant reference )

Well as long as we're nitpicking, the premise of my joke was simply "the most abstruse version of the title possible", which doesn't require it to be a perfect translation--and in fact, is bolstered if it isn't, so there. [face_talk_hand]
