Guess what?
I have moved again with Tonia and my parents. We are now on the Mon Cal frigate Independence that is serving as our main headquarters. We got away from Hoth after the imps discovered our base. Our shuttle landed in one of the bays of the Independence.

That was months ago. I have just returned from a trip with Tonia to the Redemption to get medical supplies. And guess who we met there?
Luke Skywalker was there after a nasty fight on Bespin.

Tonia met her friend Dania Tokara again after the procedure to replace Luke’s severed right hand with a biosynthetic prosthetic. Dania told her everything about the delicate surgery and was watching 2-1B making the last adjustments to the prosthetic when Lando Calrissian came in. Soon after that Lando left. She saw the Millennium Falcon leaving in search of the captured Han Solo. Han was taken by a bountyhunter after being frozen in carbonite.

Brrrr. I hope someone friendly will be with him.

We have now a Lambda shuttle.

Who was one of the ex-pilots when the shuttle Tydirium was towed in one of the hangars?
Jess Garovan – my old buddy from the Endeavour – was strapped on a stretcher after a fight to repel the rebels. And was he angry? No, his opinion of the rebels had changed as well when he was getting care for his wounds and meeting friendly faces. He told me that he had to follow orders and had done so. He was really pissed off when his commanding officer had him – only armed with a blaster – going to repel the boarders of the shuttle. He began to point at rules of leading the troopers, the more suitable armour of the detail of stormtroopers aboard but had to lead or face the consequences. Creep Jose Alarda – yes the same moron that was after me – was the second pilot. He had to lead but didn’t. Any way he and the commanding officer were rewarded by the rebels and captured after the rebels overpowered the stormtroopers and Jess.

The imperial scum has been taken to one of our brigs.

Jess not. He is under the care of Tonia and her colleagues and will make a great addition to the training team after his recovery.

Tonia is coming. And I think that my days as a bachelor are counted. She was giving me knowing looks when she guided Jess inside the medbay.

I am writing this entry in a tree observed by a family of little furry creatures. I was to be the evening meal for the creatures but our prissy protocol droid with his golden shining exterior could convince the furry creatures that he was the leader and to be worshipped. We were his minions. With Tonia I had to follow one of the families of Ewoks. We are their guest. I could tell an interesting story about my youth. Where we are?

On Endor.
With my knowledge about the Lambda-shuttle I was chosen for the mission to take the shields down. Those shields are protecting the new death-star under construction in orbit around Endor. I could give Han and Luke valuable information during the trip. We landed without any problems and ended before we could get to the bunker and the controls in some effective Ewok-traps.

The Ewoks strapped us to poles and carried us up into their tree-village. We were saved by Treepio and now I am here with Tonia.

She told me that she had seen Luke and Leia together again.
More love in the trees?

I have to stop. Mom Ewok has dinner ready.

I am now on a transport going to Corellia.
A lot has happened.

I was with Dirky Omal and Tonia in the strike team led by Han Solo.
Han had of course very devious plans to capture the imperial scouts. He came running towards us followed by an imp.
We could put the imp in binders after relieving him of his uniform. We could enter the bunker when Han used the stolen code to open the door. We were setting the charges to demolish the bunker and the controls that would deactivate the shield generator protecting the Death Star when imps caught us.
Not for long; we were herded outside and saw the clearing filled with stormtroopers when six of them hurried away to chase some unseen enemy.
Treepio, Artoo and Chewbacca and the valiantly fighting Ewoks had come to our rescue.

I knocked down my captor, took his blaster and began firing rounds at the stormtroopers. With Dirky and Tonia I ran into the woods chasing more imps. And I used my knowledge to down an imperial walker.
Returning to the bunker we saw one of the walkers captured by Chewbacca. And that was the end of the battle for the bunker. Imps surrendered en masse.

Tonia and I were escorting two of them to the edge of the clearing when we had to duck for cover. Han and Chewbacca had activated the charges. We ordered ‘get down’ but did they listen? No.Don’t obey the command of your captor. You might stay healthy!

After the explosion – leaves and branches were still raining down on us – we headed into the forest in the direction where Tonia had seen them disappearing. It didn’t take long for Tonia to find the first one nursing his head in his hands. She removed his helmet and a young face became visible with teary eyes, blood coming from a head-wound mixing with the tears and the beginning of a beard becoming bloody.
I came back with Dirky and told him that we had found his mate Jens sporting only a small bruise on his arm. Jens was really friendly telling me that he was drafted into service after visiting a bar in Treasure Ship row in Coronet City. The same happened to Tonia’s charge Arno. The two wanted to join the rebels. Dirky left with Arno to guide him to the pick up point and I headed with Tonia deeper in the forest.

A wave of air knocked us down. The Death star was gone. I mourned all deaths. When will beings stop hurting each other? I have been living on an imperial stardestroyer and maybe some of the friends I had there were now serving on the Death Star.
Tonia voiced it. “Soldiers are every where the same. They have to do the dirty job. And the generals, commanders and rulers give them the orders. I don’t know Dorian but after this I want to become a doctor caring for children.”
And that was the moment when I asked her to marry me.

She said yes of course and we began to kiss. I lay with her embraced in my arms when my comlink came with an interruption.

Dirky of course and he was saved by Arno. Dirky had contacted a medical transport and we started towards it. And Dirky knew about Tonia and me. We caught up with Dirky and Arno and were on the last stretch towards the transport when I heard some soft moaning coming from a tree.
I have to stop. Tonia is asking for my help.

Liked the action very much, the reunion of friends, and the delightful outcome for Tonia and Dorian on a personal level.

 

Glad that Dorian and Tonia became engaged after the destruction of the Death Star.

 

I enjoyed the description of the action and the ode to the fallen Death Star soldiers. Casualties are often overlooked. Nice touch with the engagement.

That moaning in the tree was coming from Bruce Makee. He had gone EV after a hit by a TIE-fighter had his X-wing going out of control towards Endor. He told me that EV had knocked him out cold. He was just coming around in the top of the tree and trying to reach his knife to get rid of the parachute ropes when a storm had him tumbling down and going unconscious again.

I saw the knife and gave that to Tonia when I supported Bruce to get him down.

Tonia diagnosed a broken arm and injected a large dose of painkiller in the arm.

I cut a piece from the parachute to make a sling.

We made it to the transport to find only Arno, Dirky, Jens and Buck. The pilot had left taking the two 2-1B’s with him to search for more survivors.

Buck told us that he could pilot the transport back to the fleet.
But we didn’t go there. Tonia said that she needed a friendly place with a large hospital and specialized care.

Jens and Arno came with the solution. Coronet University and general hospital is caring mostly for children and avoided by imps preferring droid-doctors.
Dirky told command on Home one and we are now one hour away from entering Corellian orbit.
