You have a good point. I guess I was mostly bothered by the acting. As a whole, I agree, the scene is pretty good.

Oh, so suddenly giving one of the main characters a sidekick out of nowhere, without any basis in existing media from the same time period, is okay?

Meh. There was nothing wrong with bringing Maul back from the dead.

It's just that they should have done it in AotC, instead of between films. Maul revealed as the Sith the (Dark Jedi/Sith pretender) Dooku answered to at the end of the movie would have been such an amazing moment. I get gooseflesh just thinking about it.

Well, normally I do. I've just got up today, I'm still in bed and really cozy. So actually no gooseflesh at all.

No, just no. Maul doesn´t have the charisma to have Lee answer to him by a long shot.

    Neither did Sauron.

And the whole point in this scenario would be the Sith using Dooku as the charismatic front man of the Seppies while they pulled his strings behind the scenes. With the added benefit of there being a buffer between Dooku and Sidious.

Maul doesn't need to be charismatic (though he could well have been, had things gone differently) just intimidating and powerful.

Dark Horse did a truly great comic and Genndy did an excellent cartoon. But for the most part the MMP wasn't compelling or very entertaining and TCW was both. I'd rather forget about Karen Traviss and things like the Medstar books (MASH in space, gak). Overall it felt like a MMP, not like a cohesive story.

Lucas and Filoni blew the MMP out of the water.

Having said that, I enjoy the fact that there are two or three versions of TCW out there, it's interesting to see different takes on it by different artists. But this seems like a Lucas/Filoni/TCW hate-thread in the making so I'll just bow out here . . .

TCW by far. Multimedia Clone Wars had about as much idea about what makes Star Wars Star Wars as the EU in general: none, zero, nil.
It's a needlessly grimdark, hopeless and utterly ****** up, piece of fanfiction ********. TCW did have it's problems, but at least it never lost sight.

I loved when TCW had Jar Jar being a wacky bumbling fool getting into zany adventures fighting joking battle droids. Truly, TCW never lost sight of what made the prequels so beloved and respected as integral parts of the Star Wars universe.

And brought Maul back after he was killed in TPM and went off on some insane tangent with him.

Lol. First: just because a few hundred nerds endlessly complain about the prequels and TCW, it doesn't make them unpopular. It's just that this portion of the fandom is so rabid, people tend to avoid getting into arguments with them.
Second: Even the worst of Jar Jar and the battle droids has more to do with Star Wars, than anything the EU has ever put out.

First: I didn't say the prequels were unpopular. They're just trash.
Second: That's a very silly thing to say.

The one that had Shatterpoint, Yoda: Dark Rendezvous and Labyrinth of Evil.

One of those books alone would be better than anything TCW did. Together its no contest.

1: Yeah, well Multi Media Clone Wars might be more popular in the tiny nerd fandom, but it's much worse trash than the prequels.
2: No. Saying that grimdark BS like Shatterpoint is better than anything is a silly thing to say.

No. The Yuuzan Dorks deserve it, because they're a laughable, dorky concept.
Shatterpoint is simply boring, pretencious and grimdark ****.

And by all means keep going. You nerds had it easy for far too long, protecting your opinions with being rabid trolls with anyone to oppose it. Time you tasted your own medicine.

The multimedia was specifically written to tell the story of what happened between AotC and RotS in an organic and logical manner in between the production of the two films, and TCW was written to do what again? Ahsoka Tano has absolutely complete and totally nothing to do with the films and Darth Maul was killed in TPM on Naboo.
