I agree.
But I'm of the opinion that that's all missing the point. Wide and far.
Judging this film on its character motivations is like judging Nirvana for their lack of funk.

 

but i don't think wocky was ever doing that. he was just making a comment about the kind of film it is and the way the characters were portrayed, not saying that was a bad thing. as far as i can tell he liked the film.

 

I though the movie was decent.

 

Yeah, for once, I think people misread what Wocky wrote.


But I disagree with this:

lol fine, he is bat**** crazy but i tend to agree with his opinions on films and television more often than not.

I don't really know how this happened, but I need to clarify something. I actually dislike Wild Wild West quite a bit. Along with Hancock, it is clearly the worst of the Will Smith filmography. It had a fair amount of promise that was simply never realized. So while the song is a favorite, the music video is far superior to any cut of the feature length film that ever came out of the project.

Finally saw the movie a week ago, just wanna add the unanimous praise due to awesomeness. "Witness me, Blood Bag!" by Nux is frontrunner for my favourite line of the year. Also Nux's exit... holy cats.

Also I know this is a "reboot" but if you wanna play continuity game (which I always do) I think this could slot in right after "Mad Max", then "Fury Road" & then "Road Warrior" and "Beyond Thunderdome". (I rewatched Mad Max again before Fury road, then Road Warrior & Beyond Thunderdome. Hadn't seen Thunderdome. Master Blaster is awesome.) Just going with those because Max = older with grey hair in those. So I'd put this as an "interquel" to the series. yes, I know Max is (also Tom Hardy, not Mel Gibson) is having visions of a daughter who died in "Fury Road" and in "Mad Max" it's a baby boy but, hey, dude's been out on the road for years, kinda obviously going a bit batty.

 

For the love of God, whatever you do don't read the Furiosa tie-in comic.

People who get paid to act and shoot viral style videos for video game sales? Yep too much time on their hands, that or you just bought into their marketing campaign. Take your pick.

In my defence so did jp-30 make it sound, to me at least, like it was something more then just the Mad Max video game and I had no interest to re-watch the video.
