TV Discussion Official Dave Filoni Appreciation Thread

Dave got me interested in the EU. Some people may hate him but I appreciate his contribution to the Star Wars Mythos.

 

Wouldn't it be cool if Dave had a cameo in the force awakens similar to Lucas' in ROTS

 

Plo Koon's force ghost appears to Luke/new Jedi in a vision (along with the other 'original Council'- Aayla, Mace, Ki-Adi, the whole darn lot) played of course by number one Plo fanboy Mr David Filoni. Just so I can see all the heads on here go full-on Scanners with sheer impotent rage!

 

Or in Rebels.

 

Easy just have Embo show up, they did not kill him off in tcw and he is voicd by Filoni speaking a garbled french.

 

Well he got me to take another look at SW with his TCW work. My attitude to SW is always one of mild interest.

That's the best thing I've read all day.

 

Dave's hat is lined with a steel blade like Odd Job, so watch out at conventions.

 

Maybe Dave is a bounty hunter and kills people with his hat?

 

Embo and Cade Bane were created for a reason, he's a hitman.

 

How could anyone hate him? He took a really shallow, despised character of prequel Anakin and changed him into an actual character with some form of depth and likable qualities.

 

One word for you

Ahsoka.

 

What do you mean? Yes, Ahsoka is yet another reason why I respect Dave's contribution to Star Wars so much.

 

Lets just say ahsoka is a very split topic among the JCF a lot like her and then there is the other 30 percent who don't.

 

A bold claim.

I was saying that I know a lot of people like ahsoka even I did at one point but you will find a lot of people who don't but lets not go down this road.

 

They apparently hate that she's a Mary Sue character. A character they find to be too perfect and overprotected by Dave Filoni. From that we get a sort of meme here in the forums of Ahsoka achieving seemingly impossible feats such as slicing a Star Destroyer in half with a single stroke of her lightsaber.

I'm not agreeing with it. I'm just sharing my findings.

 

If Filoni has Ahsoka survive like his favorite clones, then we need Ahsoka Facts in place of Chuck Norris Facts.

I don't mind Tano, I kinda like her , but if they ruin her by bad writing and wasted opportunity and make this character too obviously protected and pretentious, then I can see problems . Rebels itself has issues like many I find with Rebels.

 

The forbidden "A" word.

 

He actually played the AT-AT driver in the Rebels episode Relics of the Old Republic. Which makes sense since that was his favorite Kenner action figure as a kid.

 

Ya Filoni voices some of the storm troopers and he also voiced Embo by using broken French.
