Since I won't be able to attend the event I have one demand instead of a question for Ostrander: Please come back to Star Wars comics! Help me John Ostrander, you're my only hope!

    Thanks!

    Oh! Actually.

Since now we have Legends and everything, can Mr. Ostrander please spill the beans on the origins of the Fel dynasty and the Imperial Knights? :D

I know the books were eventually trying to meet up with the comics but I couldn't make much sense of what was going on with them tbh and I'm sure that John had his own ideas anyway.

If necessary, this replaces my earlier question, jasonfry :p

What advice do they have for George Lucas now that he's retired?

After some thought, I should clarify that this was a humorous description of the previous post, not an actual question. I haven't thought of a question yet.

My question for Ostrander is what was the inspiration for Cade, Kol and Nat Skywalker's names? I've spent years trying to figure it out and I just wish I could find out the answer.

Nat King Cole comes to mind, but I don't think that's how "Cade" is pronounced... :(

[face_laugh] You know, I've often wondered myself if that wasn't where he and Jan came up with their names from.

jasonfry - you will be pleased to know that your creation, Zare Leonis now has a cameo role in the latest Rebels Comic Magazine. Being interviewed by an Empire assessor who is evaluating Grint and Aresko. The comic is entitled "Assessment".

If Legacy had continued, what other plot lines would you have used?

Hi Jason, a question. Is the original Clone Wars microseries still considered canon? If not, can it be since it provided a proper introduction for Ventress and Grievous in my opinion and it led perfectly into ROTS despite some inconsistences.

Also, how are things going on the Telsij/Yong issue?

No. Canon decisions get made waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay above my pay grade. I'm just a keyboard for hire!

Telsij/Yong will be quite a while. Like sometime in the new year, probably. So much going on over there right now, but will keep it on my list....

For Ostrander: How does Dawn of the Jedi lead to the Star Wars universe we're familiar with (where Sith only have three fingers, light side users and dark side users are in conflict, etc.)?

And how can Shae Koda be of Dathomirian descent, when there weren't supposed to be humans there yet?

Jason, when you were writing the TPM expanded visual dictionary, did you find it amusing that the original TPM visual dictionary says that "the Sith disappeared almost 2000 years ago?"

Sorry, that was many years and books ago. Did we change the line or otherwise address for the updated one?

The line isn't in the updated one at all. I just found it amusing how it differed from the EU's interpretation.

Don't you mean TPM, where the line is actually spoken?

Going by the movies themselves, Ki-Adi could have been rouding down.

Did they not also mention it in the TPM novelization?

"For a millennium" does not translate well to "two millennia".

Yes, but if it were closer to 2,000, then he'd probably say "for about two millennia." :p
