James McAvoy (X-Men, Wanted) and Saoirse Ronan (The Grand Budapest Hotel, Hannah) as Jedi.
Travis Fimmel (Vikings) and Rose Leslie (Game of Thrones, Downton Abbey) as bounty hunters.
Tom Hiddleston (Marvel Cinematic Universe, Crimson Peak) and Charlize Theron (Mad Max: Fury Road, Monster) as high ranking Imperials.

James Purefoy, Matthew McConaughey, Iwan Rheon. I was thinking Cumberbatch but he's too over-saturated.

 

Seeing Rami Malek in a Star Wars movie would be interesting, I think he would blend in well and he was great in Mr Robot.

Elle Fanning as a Jedi apprentice.
Isobelle Molloy as a Sith (or Dark Side) apprentice.
Sofia Boutella as a bounty hunter and ancestor to Boba Fett.

Male actors I'd like to see:
Anthony Ingruber or Jamie Costa as young Han Solo.
Toby Kebbell as young Count Dooku.
Arnold Vosloo as Quinlan Vos.

On a similar note, how about Geoffrey Rush as a wily-old smuggler? Maybe a mentor to Han in the spin-off film? Granted, that would almost be a repeat of his role as Barbossa (pirate vs smuggler).

 

Anybody from Game of Thrones because they have an amazing cast, top to bottom. So anyone from the main cast, or formerly from the main cast. I have kind of a thing for Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, though. But no one who is too well-known otherwise. I like that SW mainly goes with unknown actors or character actors over big-time MOVIE STARS.

 

Ian McKellen, Patrick Stewart, George Takei, Will Smith, Micheal B. Jordan, Robert Downey Jr. Dwayne Johnson, Daniel Craig. although, like with PC, AG, SJ and CL, I want them as supporting characters.

EDIT: I forgot Nathan Fillion and the girl who plays Castle's daughter on Castle.

 

George Takei voiced Lok Durd in an episode of The Clone Wars.

 

i noticed that not one but three game of thrones actors were in Episode VII: Gwendoline Christie, Thomas brodie-sangster and Miltos Yerolemou. Christie played Phasma, Brodie-Sangster played a First Order petty officer and Yerolemou played a bar patron.

Giancarlo Esposito - Imperial officer or Dark Side user
Jake Gyllenhaal - Light side user, smuggler/rogue, or bounty hunter
Stephen Dillaine - Rebellion CO
Emily Blunt - Anyone, because she's that awesome

Female Actors:
Jennifer Lawrence: Could play a soldier, admiral, or Force user. Would love to see her play a villain for once.
Angelina Jolie: Could play spy, military leader, or senator.
Jessica Lange: Could play a dark side user, senator, or leader.

Male Actors:
Clint Eastwood: Could play General.
Christian Bale: Could play really anyone.
Hugh Jackman: He could play a soldier or military leader.

 

I'd love that. She could even turn out to be Rey's mother/the canon Mara Jade.

Hands down Travis Fimmel hands down..... no questions asked the way he portrays Ragnar Lodbrok in Vikings is almost 2nd to none. I've never seen anybody play a character
as well as he does. One of the most underrated actors in history.
