Can't lay claim to this idea, it came out of the discussion of the Collider Jedi Council discussion of Who Is Rey? on YouTube.

For those who don't know, the Son from Mortis is the antagonist in three episodes of the Clone Wars who encounter Obi Wan, Anakin and Ahsoka Tano. They encounter the Father, the Son, and the Daughter who balance the Force. The link below. In short, the Daughter reps. the Light Side, the Son the Dark. The Father balances them and the Son tries to kill the Father and kills his Sister who tries to protect the Father.

In CW, Anakin kills the Son.

I'm not saying this is exactly the same person, which would contradict the CW episode but that this character may be much more than Palpatine, a Celestial capable of ripping the Universe apart.

If Kylo and Rey are related, this might have some bearing on their conflict.

And none of the above would negate the possibility of the Son also being Darth Plaegius, a name and form taken to seduce Palpatine and allay Palp's fears of killing him.

About the only interesting facet of Snoke is that he is, or was, seriously damaged. He's pretty much 100% generic except for that. Silly to make him some spirit being, thereby wiping out the one thing we know of that makes him unique.

Someone in the Supreme Leader Snoke thread hypothesized this a long time ago.

It would make him ancient and wounded. He was tall. But like Plagueis, he's dead. Now another Force-wielder might be possible. Mortis is in Wild Space and Snoke may have been what Palpatine's minions were looking for. Didn't the Imperial Remnants move to the Unknown Regions?

A spirit being forced to take a terrestrial form in order to bend living beings to his will. As we've seen with every DL they become physically degraded. Like Sauron loses power to gain power over the will of others.

I doubt he's Plagueis. According to Pablo Hildago:

It would be interesting if he were the Son as the Son had a unique with the light, the Daughter, whom he loved. He also loved his Father. And Snoke sees in Ren the perfect embodiment of light and dark, material to be shaped into a masterpiece.

Yes! I remember reading that they are consolidating power there and sought out Dark Side energy.

Didn't the Son feeling confined by his Father, want to escape the planet which is why he needed to seduce Anakin so he could grab his Father's power to escape and influence the rest of the Universe?

ton of expo for that, while plageius would take a few lines. Could work though, but they would need to establish basically everything they wanted you to know about the Son in the movies..

Yes. And if Snoke were the Son, he'd have a unique relationship with the Light and Balance than any of the Sith, including 3 fallen Jedi.

    However, the Son died.

I really like this idea. I saw a video on this. I like it more than the darth plagueis idea. From what I understand the celestials were concerned about balance in the force. Snoke likes the idea that Ren uses both the light side and the dark side of the force. Then there is star killer base. How in the world did the empire(first order) develop such an advanced weapon years before the they should have been able to do that.

Snoke could be just a dark side force ghost.

We don't need another Snoke thread. Theories about his identity can go in the main Snoke thread.
