ST Episode 8 Next Location to be Ireland, Donegal/Malin Head

As much as I really want to see new pictures (and I have no self discipline currently, to stop myself from looking at each and every single one), I really hope that they amp up the security considerably in Ireland and prevent what happened in Dubrovnik from occurring, just so that I can selfishly get a genuine surprise when I see the next film...

 

You say this like we actually know anything at all about what's happened in Dubrovnik, ahahaha. All we know is that at some point there's a boat with fancy people and a speeder blows up in some way. That's literally nothing. Oh! and Space Horse! We're not even sure what characters are involved with those scenes.

Whatever pictures we get, they'll just tell us who the characters are in the scene which would be fun enough on its own. That's more than we know for Croatia! From the description of some of the scenes that MSW put up, it sounded like a couple of them would be Luke and Rey scenes but we don't know for sure.

 

Next farm across to the Mahons (my fathers first cousin) who told me that the scene is just Rey and Stormtroopers apparently...

They probably turn up after Luke has left with Chewie and Artoo.

That I do not know.. I will ask and see if they know yet. Apparently there are tickets on sale to come and have a look as well.

If true, that would be a big spoiler. Means that the First Order finds the island.

 

And it's also Rey's way off the Island. She kills Phasma and the Stormtroopers and takes their ship.

 

Part of me is wondering too if its stormtroopers that want to defect now because of Finn doing it.

 

If you manage to get a clone who looks like me and is doing my daily job for me, I would love to go. But with this Dubrovnik trip + concert travelling almost no chance to get more vacation so soon.

yes, but only if Luke doesn't die in this.

 

Personally, I think a lightsaber duel MUST happen on that location, which is my favorite location in the saga so far. Though I'd settle for a practice duel between Luke and Rey.

 

So, do we have a reliable spy network in Ireland or no? Darth Damo?

I figure this location is a little more remote. Tougher to pretend to be out hiking every day.

 

True. Filming in more remote places (or more rural areas, like Malin Head) rarely gets you the amount of spy photos you get in a city. Though the Game of Thrones spies have been pretty good at it. So, I'm still going to expect a lot from our resident spies. Without putting pressure on them, of course.
