As you might know, I'm the JC's uncontested resident DC Comics expert. I used to answer all kinds of questions about DC and its multiple adaptations in the Facebook group but I thought, "hey, the people not cool enough to be invited to the group might have questions too!". So I decided to celebrate Mark Waid's birthday by moving my wisdom to the boards!

I know that if you want to use the congressional subway connecting the House and Senate office buildings, you have to be escorted by a congressional staffer, but is there any way to do a paid private tour of this system after hours? I'd very much like to take my son and two of his friends to DC in the summer, but I was hoping to do some out of the way sightseeing connected to the workings of the federal government. Your expertise is very much appreciated!

 

That's a very common question, Frieda. Squirrel Girl's equivalent, as in their inner goodness and curbstomping abilities, would probably a New Teen Titans character called Starfire. Second: if you put together the DC Universe's innate tendence to spontaneously reboot itself every seventeen minutes, give or take one minute, and time travel... well, this is kind of what happens. Expect the plotline to be picked up around the 2040s, when one of the bitter fans who grew up reading these comics becomes a pro and writes a bland and terrible continuity spank that's going to be praised by its contemporaries but despised by history. Wonder Twins are the heart and soul of the DC universe. If you can't accept that, you probably really do need a break from the forum.

Why didn't the guardians just have the rings connect directly to the main power battery? If the rings can do anything, why not just teleport to the main battery instead of carrying around a huge recharge station?

Why do people with a weapon that can do anything use it to make a giant fist or fly swatter all the time?

If the constructs are reliant on the user's will, does that mean they have to think about them all the time? Can a ring bearer accidentally manifest a construct by daydreaming or something like that?

Why would a full time universe cop care about a secret identity? Why do all of the Earth Lanterns spend so much time on Earth instead of patrolling the rest of their sector? Why does their sector have way more Lanterns than the other sector? Why do they do anything ever except fight the other, evil lantern corps?

That's a very common question, cubman987. I think he's in the process, but I wouldn't know because I don't buy or rea-- I mean, because I'm slightly behind in Snyder's magnum opus.

Anyway, "forever" in superhero comics means "three years, tops". So the cowl will move heads again probably before 2019, or earlier if sales take a dip.

And I doubt BvS is going to tank. I expect it to be pretty succesful, like Donald Trump. Just yesterday I was having a drink at the town's bar and I overheard a guy with an NRA cap telling his buddy in between sips of Bud Light, "Chip, the new Supah-man movie is the ****, man, he kills illegals and everything looks like that Sparta movie". So hey, there's a demographic!

i've only ever seen the superfriends cartoons and the batman movie with arnold schwarzenneger so this is going to be a good thread for me. first of all, what's the deal with the flash? why can he run so fast? how does he do it? what is the science?
