As one who initially started down the dark path, what advantages do you imagine that experience will give your perspective on the Force that most Jedi would not have?

I think as I severed the darkness before I found the light gives me a bit of a different perspective on being a Jedi. I know how tempting the darkside is. But I also know about the cruelity and betrayal it stands for. I managed to overcome it and I know about the danger. I've realized its wrong to serve the darkness, that I want to heal instead of destroy, understand instead of hate, avoid conflics instead of searching them. I've expirienced the harshness of the dark side and the forgiveness of the light and I'm glad to be on the good side now.
I've learned that there are some who try to use the force for their own ends but becoming a Jedi has taught me that they are wrong. The force is a power to do good, not to exploit.

On another happy note, we've finally updated the points accumulated thus far for our current Jedi Knights. If anyone sees a mistake there please let me know as I'm sure the mistake is mine, and I'll correct it ASAP. Basically how we got there was every Knight must have been at least at the 100 point threshold so we started from there. Knights who have participated in the RPG in the past or who are doing so now earned an additional five points Knights who have trained a padawan to Knighthood earned ten points for each padawan trained. Likewise, In addition to these Ananta Chetan earned ten points for his role in rebooting this thread and an additional ten points for taking the lead on this project and contacting several Jedi to help determine their point's accumulated thus far.

 

Announcement

Now that the Force Points of everyone are hopefully accurate and up to date (if not let us know), we would request that all Guardians add a line to their signatures under their rank indicating their total (see mine below for example) and to add to their totals if and when they receive additional points.

We also would like to encourage those who are willing and creatively inclined to tinker with their signature design and include a link to the Temple. This could potentially usher in some more fresh recruits and will also help to get our name out there among the JCF community. It's not mandatory and we are not advocating a standardized one sig fits all rule. We're not savages after all (or Sith).

If anyone has ideas they are willing to share please feel free to post them in thread.

I put my points in my signature long ago. But I have no idea whatsoever about how to put a link there.

 

Yes, you do. It seems you already have done it with the 'Guardians of Light' in your signature, unless you received some outside assistance.

So, in case you forgot:
Here's how to insert a link, in this case the for GoL :

• Go to this thread's Opening Page
• Copy the URL
• Go to your Signature editing page
• type in the text of the words that you want to link, for example: Guardians of Light Jedi
• highlight the text you just typed
• click on the little icon above, under and to the right of the smilies that looks like a 'chain link' that reads 'Insert/edit link' when you put your cursor over it, and click
• once the window pops open, paste the URL, and your done.
