Slow, quiet morning on the 2nd of Jan.
Just dropped my daughter off at her job, and I'm sitting in Macca's drinking a cappuchino and eating a McMuffin.

Life is peaceful again. For a while.

    2017.

The Year of Han Solo spy shots.
The Year of building hype for Episode 8 and awkward stories about what they will do without Carrie.

The word "awesome" is overused and clichéd, but in 77, SW really was awesome.

It must have been amazing, I can imagine that if I was around back then I would have watched it about 10 times.
I have already seen Rogue one three times and am very much tempted to go again

I was close... I saw it in the theater in '78 during that re-release, when I was 4. :)

I saw it for the first time in '97. Ironically I complained the entire time because I didn't want to see it (thought it was just a lame old movie) until the very first scene started and I was mesmerized throughout.

I saw TESB, ROTJ and Ewoks: The Battle for Endor in early '94, and then didn't get to see ANH until Christmas '94 - so my original Star Wars trilogy was a bit different :p

First time I saw ANH and ESB was on TV as a kid. I remember when Vader announced he was Luke's dad, I couldn't believe it. I was as incredulous as Luke was. I turned round to my parents and asked how this could be true and said it made no sense.
I'm sure I saw at least one of the Ewoks movies on TV too.
When ROTJ was released I was five. I first saw it on VHS tape at a friend's bithday party. Then when the special editions were re-released to cinemas I watched each one of them three times.
TPM I found slightly disappointing (but I was hampered by very high expectations) though I tried to convince myself otherwise. AOTC I genuinely enjoyed a lot despite its flaws.

LOL I was wondering that the other day, like what do you think brought Dr. Evazan to Jedha? I mean it's not like I can picture him protesting the Imperial occupation and bemoaning the fall of peace and justice in the galaxy. Pub crawl sounds like the best explanation, to be honest. Maybe the Guardians of the Whills are like the Belgian monks and make a dang fine bottle of ale that you can only get on Jedha, because the Imperial occupation makes it impossible to ship off world :p
