Discussion Chapter length?

    Because of recently being hit by some markup error that renders the entire thread inaccessible, I try to limit my chapters to 1500 words or thereabouts.

    We think that's caused by using legacy markups, so mostly using [ link= ] instead of [ url =] too many times, so that shouldn't be a problem in a story thread, but it's not a bad piece of advice to follow.

    If you plan to eventually format this as an e-book, you will need chapters, otherwise all of the text will be treated like a single chapter.

    If you plan to post it here, putting the whole thing up at once or without giving the time to people to read won't get you anywhere, so...either way, chapters are a good idea. Even if they're untitled.
