This thread is for members to help find one another for the "battle royale".

If you have been discussing with someone to duel this year and have already found your partnering for the show, please post on this thread so we know you are covered. Please also mention who is Jedi and who is Sith.

If you are currently looking for a dueling partner, please state as much on this board. Please also list whether you plan/wish to duel as a Jedi or as a Sith.

Some Notes About the Duel:

• There are no "Jedi vs. Jedi" or "Sith vs. Sith" duels; the dueling team-ups must be (at least) 1 Jedi vs. (at least) 1 Sith.
• I am 100% okay with people grouping up with 3-person duels (or more). As with any duel, you are responsible for meeting with your partners and balancing 3 schedules can potentially be trickier than balancing 2, so know the risks before you agree. But if you are willing, 3-person duels are A-OK by me!

A Note About Sith Lightsabers:
Sticking with Star Wars canon, I strongly prefer all Sith to have red-bladed lightsabers. The color coding greatly helps the audience keep track of who is the hero and who is the villain in each duel, considering the lightsaber blades are the most visible element when the field is dark.

If you wish to duel as a Sith and are without a red-bladed lightsaber, please mention this on this thread so we can make arrangements. Previously, other members have been generous enough to lend out extra sabers, or a group order may be organized with a vendor such as Ultrasabers if there is enough interest.

Rey (Kate) vs. Kylo Ren (Cory)

 

Mara Jade needs a Jedi to duel. My blades are violet as I went with the Emperors Hand images which show her wielding a violet blade. I can switch the color on my Kyberlight though if needed. Ultrasaber is single color.

I know Mara and a lot of 90's villains wield non-red colored blades (gotta love the rainbow of villain blades in Dark Forces II: Jedi Knight!), but I'd still prefer red for the show.

Obviously this is just for the show. If you feel like trooping as Mara during the game itself, by all means go with purple then. Thank you for checking in on that, though!

Still working on getting Christopher a costume set up...I would classify him as Jedi at this point. He would need a Sith to battle.

As mentioned Dooku will be fighting Vos , but also putting out there my annual Saber for rent program for those needing a saber. First come first serve basis .......and yes Marty you can have your usual saber rental ....unless you got your own? Lol

Aiden= Rayden Jedi as per script (leads chant at end)
I have sith available. I can make a Jedi. I had a request just figuring out the kids.
With my request, I would duel as Jedi.
If that's the case I have 2 sith costumes available for use.

Does Jyn duel? (I'm very sorry I still haven't seen the movie) She can be another character on field if available as per script.

 

No she is not a Jedi or Sith. Just a rebel. I thought I remembered from the script reading that the rebels were all together trying to force the Death Star blast back on itself. Not sure if that was before or after the Battle royale

It's hard to remember who was live and who was video only from just the one reading.

 

Yes im playing jyn but brian said if they need more ppl for the dueling i could always make another costume for that part. I guess it depends on the script. I wasn't sure if it was just the jedi at the last part. Otherwise i would just remain in costume.

Jedi looking for a dueling partner(s). White-bladed Lightsbaber Pike, so sure to be a fun and flashy duel.

 

Having Resistance folks at the very end for the "Force Push" is primarily there for the sake of inclusiveness of out-of-towners. Do not let that portion affect costume choices.

The long short: if you're interested in dueling you will need to be a Jedi or Sith. This can be done in addition to what is needed for Jyn in the videos.
