Speculation Rey's lineage...

Because that's the age at which she began to feel and connect with the Force - much as it diminished when Anakin began realizing his powers in AotC.
As far as lighting goes, I don't have a ton of options - that was the absolute best spot I could create - anything else would have had a window directly behind me, and that would have been awful.

 

She's almost certainly Skywalker but I'd kind of like it if she was Kenobi.

I would also be happy with her not being anyone in particular.

I dislike the reincarnated Anakin and creation of Sith magic ideas.

I agree with the Rey = Skywalker for the following reasons:
1. The Old Man with a connection to the Evil Force User in black living on a desert planet, who happens to have the map to Luke also happens to be on the same planet as Rey? Has he been watching over her from afar all these years?

2. Artoo mysteriously comes back to life, when in the presence of said map.

3. Why is Rey the one to greet Luke? Not Chewie who he has known for years and was also on the Falcon with her? And why wasnt Leia on the Falcon?

4. And Luke & Anakin's lightsaber calling out for her.

 

If The first thing Rey looks at is Luke's metal hand in TLJ guess what..........







She's his clone offspring.

 

She's either a Skywalker or a Kenobi. Of that I am sure.

OR, she's a Skynobi

 

I think she's related to Sidious, simply because she uses the same fighting style. In my first viewing of TFA, I thought her fighting style was similar to his. A Skywalker or Kenobi would be obvious, but there's nothing wrong with that. Or I could go a bit left field and say she's related to Snoke, who could actually be Plagueis, because he trained Sidious, therefore he could also have the same fighting style. I don't know. There's too many possibilities.
