You obviously watched a very different show than me.

GI defeated Kanan without any troubles twice before he was finally defeated by him, and only when Kanan had his Rey moment, when he thought Ezra is dead.

Ahsoka is far from a Jedi wannabe. By the end of the Clone Wars she was pretty much one of the most powerful Force users out there and could go toe to toe with Maul.

The trick they used against the Inquisitors in that episode was pretty smart and it was their only option how to survive. They knew they cannot defeat the Inquisitors in direct combat.

Technically they are lowly Dark Side pawns, however they still are a real threat to most Jedi. I'm not sure you realize that most Jedi out there during the PT era are far from the power level of Yoda, Mace, Obi-Wan or Anakin. In the movies and TCW, we always follow some of the most powerful Force users in the galaxy, however the Jedi Order has around 10,000 members and most of them are far from the level of the likes of Obi-Wan and Anakin. For you average Joe Jedi, the Inquisitors are more than enough of a challenge.

About the newest issue, like the art, however I'm not the biggest fan of the fact that the Inquisitorius already exists and has so many members this early after ROTS. And they all look the way they will look in 15-16 years. Hope there will be some real explanations about this in the series, otherwise its pretty lazy writing IMO.

Haha, so that's now called a Rey moment. I don't want to be too dismissive, but what did he actually do to become this zen Jedi master? He had a certain tranquil expression and apparently that makes you into a powerful fighter (because The Force, the favourite crutch of SW writers). Every other week he was out of this league simply teaching one Ezra Bridger.
And that's me talking. Kanan is the only character on the show I like, but c'mon, he's not exactly great Jedi material. Any Jedi hunter worth his salt should be able to take him down.

    Very Filoni too.
Seriously, the only reason that Maul became so very weak and Ahsoka so very strong is Filoni's favoritism.

Oh really? And why did they fail against the Ghost Crew so often when that's the case? They often fell prey to ludicrously cheap tricks. If you want to sell an idea, you need to put some sort of effort into it and Filoni failed to do that.

I understand what Filoni attempted to present to us, but the execution of it was so bad that I can't take any of it seriously.

You keep saying that but are only willing to provide a single example. Up until Malachor, the Ghost crew was only ever able to barely escape with their lives from the Seventh Sister/Fifth Brother.

Vader's first meeting with the Grand Inquistor was great, awesome stuff. "Grand." sells it so perfectly. And Vader remaking his suit from inside his bacta bath. But also put me in the camp that I'm slightly disappointed that the Inquistors are already up and running and ready to rock and it looks like we're only getting two new ones. I kind of wanted to see them formed, how they came to be. (And more fodder Inquistors for Vader to crush to prove a point) But I ain't gonna ball the comic up and throw it away because of that, I *can* buy it if only because the Inquistors already being a functioning unit could have simply have been yet another "Sidous Grand Plan Subsection 56a (Form Inquisitorius in old factory hidey hole, don't tell anyone)"

I wonder if we are going to get a number to how many Inquisitors existed pre Rebels.

It would suck if that was all of them since so far 5 Inquistors have been killed off. Actually 6 making more sense because Maul had a modified Inquisitor blade, meaning he probably killed a unknown Inquisitor before his introduction on Rebels. This is why I want to see at least a few more Inquisitors trained beyond the 1st dark Jedi ones. Perhaps this time have one that was never a Jedi.

I mean, I wouldn't be opposed to seeing more of them. I actually think that their characters are interesting.

Well the seventh sister and eighth brother were in this issue so there must be at least 8 inquisitors, but from what I remember there were only 6 shown in this issue. I dont think we saw the sixth brother in this issue, based on how I remember his appearance being described.

Personally, I think the Inquisitors have been pretty much the most dangerous antagonists on Rebels bar the big ones (Vader, Tarkin, Thrawn). During season 2, 5th and 7th actually kept the entire rebel cell the Ghost works with in the run for what it seems like several months, to the point that Ahsoka, Kanan and Ezra had to go to Malachor, pretty much in a desperate attempt to throw them off. That´s the way I saw it, at least, and to me Kanan and Ezra seemed always in a disadvantage against them (and even Ahsoka seemed unable to get the better of them on Malachor).

That being said, it is a kids show, and the way they are portrayed could (should?) differ quite a bit in another medium, that´s absolutely true...

Absolutely right. By logic alone, there *should* be at the very least two more Inquisitors (I´m missing another female one, myself), perhaps more... until the ones we´ve already seen in #6 are named, we have no way to know.

I think it was discussed earlier, but couldn´t the Inquisitor in the left be the 6th Brother? it wasn´t how I imagined him, but he matches being tall, muscular and grey, with a visor and markings on his face, after all...

The problem with the new inquisitor being 6th brother is that in the Ashoka novel, they never mentioned him having horns on the lower half of his face. I feel like that should of been mentioned. Plus, in this, the skin is more brown than gray.

I'm willing to wait for an explanation on how the Inquisitorius was formed before passing judgement on it. Maybe collecting a bunch of darkside Jedi hunters really was part of Palpatine's grand plan. Maybe he needed them in case order 66 failed.

I was thinking the one in the left, he seems like a closer match... could he work as 6th?

Possibly though in my opinion not perfect. Here is the description:
The Sixth Brother was of an unknown species, which neither Kaeden Larte or Ahsoka Tano were able to identify. He was described as tall with unnatural-looking gray skin, piercing ice-blue eyes, broad shoulders, and scar-like uniform markings on his cheeks, nose, and chin. Like his fellow Inquisitors, he wore an armoured black and grey bodysuit and carried a double-bladed spinning lightsaber. He also wore a helmet with a blast shield that could be lowered to protect his face

I doubt that one one as well. That inquisitor is too skinny in my opinion. These are probably 2nd, 3rd, 4th, or 9th Brother/Sister.

Curiously enough, what makes me doubt about my own theory is a little bit a thing about the looks of the character and how I pictured the 6th Brother, but also something about the mannerisms and general attitude... of course we´ve seen just a couple of frames, but the left Inquisitor seems like a meditative one, and the 6th Brother appeared to be quite the opposite to me in the Ahsoka novel.

I would absolutely love if we end up getting something like nine inquisitors. While I have some doubts because of Charles Soule saying that they got to make "a couple of new ones" (I was expecting at least 4 or 5) there is still a chance to see more of them, I think. And perhaps they could even use an Inquisitor as they used Cylo´s trandoshan, just someone for Vader to kill right now and make a statement... even if that would be a little sad!

What's the odds of these guys getting names? I mean, even just in a combat training session with Vader, I think it could be worked in with no dialogue. For instance a frame with Vader crossing swords with the Seventh sister and it stating her name, and her position within the Order. Was she a tech specialist with the Jedi as well? It would be simple, to the point, and I don't see the harm because it is highly unlikely we will get much more material on her in future canon where they'd need to retcon this story.

I'm still not convinced the numbering isn't derived from their standing in the "order". After the GI jumps into the pit he instructs the troops to acknowledge their "masters", to which the eighth brother says we only have "one master", GI's reply is something like "things change eighth brother" with "eighth" being highlighted. I wonder if he wasn't seventh brother before GI realized Vader existed....

I wonder if the Inquisitorius will ever gain the respect of its new master and how this will be accomplished (if).

Here's a question whose answer may be obvious.

Do all the Inquisitors know that the Emperor is a Sith Lord and a Master of the Dark Side of the Force? Or do they just follow him because he's the undisputed ruler of the civilized Galaxy?

Grand Inquisitor doesn't even seem to acknowledge the Emperor's mastery of the Force. At least not openly.

But is he referring to himself as a Sith? It kinda seems like he's telling GI that the Inquisitors answer to Darth Vader, Dark Lord of the Sith?

I thought Grand Inquisitor knew at first. But if he was a Jedi Knight, he should know that Sith come in two's. Shouldn't he automatically know that this red-blade wielding warrior that crushed him is the Apprentice to the Master?

Of course. GI knows that they are working for the Emperor only, and the Emperor said Inquisitorius belongs to the Sith.

I'm pretty sure Palpatine stopped hiding his power post-Order 66. His Dark Side presence is so strong that even people like Ciena Ree, who probably isn't even Force sensitive, can feel it. A bunch of former Jedi would instantly know that Palpatine is radiating dark side energy.

I suppose it's pretty obvious. I'm so used to Rebels ignoring the Emperor completely that I thought they might have the Inquisitors be ignorant. Glad to see that's not the case.
