Can we just sit back and appreciate that the Wookiees names are basically Utah versions of Delilah, Wyatt, and Dakota?

I haven't managed to get my hands on any issue of adventures so far but if what I've heard is correct the back up stories (possibly non-canon) star the graff children from Adventures in Wild Space.

However what I don't get is in this #3 preview we see Milo telling a story about Cassian and K2SO, yet Milo looks to still be a kid like he was in the wild space books which were set within a couple of years after ROTS?

Arrrghhh these timelines are so confusing!

It's about Emil Graf, Milo's grandson.

Young Anakin Skywalker competes in a podrace that’s unlike any he’s seen before! And Ezra Bridger, Hera Syndulla, and the rest of the Ghost crew must retrieve a sacred bird from the Empire’s clutches, but space pirate Hondo Ohnaka might get it first!

A rotating crew of characters and creators reveal these and more untold tales from the Star Wars galaxy, in stories appropriate for all ages, from Padawans to Jedi Masters.

Those last few panels are seriously the best thing the new EU has ever done. Ever. Nothing they ever do will top that.

    C.K. Stewart

Star Wars: Adventures will be a new continuing all-ages series.

They're telling stories from all Star Wars eras .... no comment on the Christmas special.

Is that the Ahsoka special they hinted at?

This whole series from IDW is awesome. I already like there other titles, so having star wars is a big plus.

Is Star Wars Adventures #3 out today? I keep hearing conflicting things about it possibly being delayed a week.

...Is that yes it is out today, or yes it is delayed by a week? Because I've not seen it anywhere today.

Nor mine. I was told to expect it next week. Seems likely there was a delay.

That's really not good - an 80-page trade for $10 on a title aimed at kids?

Both Vertigo, and now far more Image, issue 5-6 issue trades for the first volumes at $10 for new series. Later ones then go up.

As such, for me, IDW are trying to make a killing where they don't need to.

    Just to make sure
The Finn story in the latest issue cannot seriously be considered canon, right? Kylo Ren and Phasma are so different from TFA and other stories they appear in. They are literally Looney Toons cartoon characters in this. The story is fine, it serves it's purpose and if somebody likes light hearted, funny, cartoony SW stories then this is the perfect choice. I'm not saying it was bad and nobody should read it. But it doesn't mesh with canon at all.

I didn't think they were particularly out of character.

I think it was just some comedic exaggeration of some of their character traits, nothing more.

Yes, and that exaggeration is what doesn't fit.

I'd consider it similar to a Lego Star Wars story, really.

I think they're deliberately holding back from revealing this series' canon status so as not to hurt sales. They're probably afraid some fans might be like "Non-canon stories why would I want to read a series full of them?!"

Isn't the premise of the series that it's C-3PO and R2-D2 telling stories?

No, it's only the backup stories 'Tales from Wild Space' that are framed as stories being told in-world.
