Games The First SWC Muggles Draft - The Draft Who Lived

Hello! And welcome to the first ever Star Wars Community Muggles Draft!!

That's right! After listening to you guys complain so much, we've finally decided to host a draft where you can argue about how badly Jar Jar dumpsters Boba Fett or if General Grievous could last 20 seconds against an Ewok. This is the place for Muggle (or "No-Majs" ) characters to duke it out- no lightningbolts from your fingertips, no mindtricks, none of that stuff.

Without further ado, the rules:
1. VIPs - Colors - Titles: As is tradition, the winner of the Draft will be awarded VIP status and colors for the duration of one week!
2. Leave Your Problems At the Door: If any personal problems or disputes arise in the midst of the Draft, please refrain from playing them out in the thread. Take care of things outside the Draft, and if problems persist, contact either myself, or one of the Mods, and we'll see what can be done.
3. Obey the Forums Rules: Talking and discussions is encouraged, so long as nothing gets too heated. Just follow the normal forum rules, (no flaming/spamming/trolling, etc.) and you should be fine. Please respect everyone else in the game; it'll work out better for everyone.
4. No Replacing the Commissioner (that's me!): If I'm going to be out for an extended period of time, then I'll arrange for someone to act as temporary Commissioner until I return. GMs and Judges will not take it onto themselves to find a new Commish to fill in if I happen to be absent.

How the Game Works
Phase 1: The Draft
GMs will take turns selecting characters from the draft list to their teams. Draft order will be randomized and proceed snake style. (think fantasy sports for this part)
Example:
Round 1:
1. RoonilWazlib selects Trask Ulgo!
2. DracoMalfoyPWNS selects Jar Jar Binks!
3. Darth_T_Riddle selects Deadeye Duncan!
4. TehChosen1 selects Han Solo!
Round 2:
4. TehChosen1 selects Chewbacca!
3. Darth_T_Riddle - On the Clock!
2. DracoMalfoyPWNS - on deck
1. RoonilWazlib
etc.
Users will have 24 hours to make their pick once the person before them makes theirs. If you don't, you will Bumped! to the end of that round. You may pm me a list of picks you'd like if you expect to be absent during your turn.

Drafting will last for 10 rounds, so all players will have 10 picks to create their team.

Phase 2: The Matches
Players will then be drawn into 2 conferences, where they will play a round-robin against the other members of their conference (*+possibly a cross-conference opponent, pending number of players).

After each match is posted, players will have 48 hours to submit your numbers, via pm to me.

Example: I am user RoonilWazlib and I am matched up against Darth_T_Riddle. My team (from Phase 1) consists of: Trask Ulgo, Cassian Andor, Jyn Erso, Bossk, Calo Nord, Embo, Nas Choka, Mister Bones, Zam Wessel, and Zaalbar. I might submit a list that looks like:
1. Bossk
2. Embo (prep)
3. Zaalbar
4. Nas Choka TRUMPED W/ Mister Bones
5. Jyn Erso TRUMPED W/ Cassian Andor
6. Calo Nord (prep)
7. Zam Wessel
8. Cassian Andor TRUMPED W/ Jyn Erso
9. Trask Ulgo
10. Mister Bones TRUMPED W/ Nas Choka

Darth_T_Riddle will also submit her team as well. The commish will randomly call the numbers and those characters will face eachother.
Example: Numbers 5, 3, 8
Location: Dooku's Geonosis Hanger
5: Jyn Erso TRUMPED W/ Cassian Andor VS Jar Jar Binks
3: Zaalbar VS Trioculus
8: Cassian Andor TRUMPED W/ Jyn Erso (forfeit) VS Prince Xizor (prep)

Your job is to now argue why your characters should win their fights. All 10 numbers will be called each round. If the final score is tied, it goes to a Team Battle! All 10 of your characters will face all 10 of your opponent's at the same time in one gigantic fight.

Location- Each round a location will be selected for the fights. Mostly just for flavor reasons, but it can give some characters advantages/disadvantages (think like Super Smash Bros).

Strategies
Trumping (no, not the person)- In the above example you'll see that I submitted "Jyn Erso TRUMPED W/ Cassian Andor" this means that when their number is called they both show up to fight in a 2v1. However, when their second number is listed (8 in the above), it's a forfeit and Xizor automatically wins. Trumping is an optional strategy that can improve your chances of winning fights. Note: how well characters might work together is a factor here. Jyn+Cassian is probably pretty good; Nas Choka + Mister Bones is probably not.
Prep- Each round you have 2 preps that you may use. This means that that character gets a 24hr period before their fight starts to research their opponent's strengths and weaknesses, scout the location, grab some extra guns (nothing crazy like a tank; no stealth generators; if you have questions ask them first), etc. For team battles, both sides all get prep. *You may prep a trump, but it consumes both of your preps.*
Trades- During the drafting phase, you may trade picks and draft spots with other players. Conduct negotiations with them (preferably through pm), then both players must pm me the details of the trade for approval. *Only the commish will approve/deny trade requests.*

Playoffs
At the end of the round-robins, the top 3 from each conference will advance to the playoffs (ranking by match wins, individual wins, head-to-head, draft trivia).
