Thrawn #1-6 comic adaptation (2/6 Released)

It was a good story and I followed it for the most part, but did Thrawn get the gas or not? I know they figured out the location, and I guess we can assume he got it because the next thing we see is that he's cleared of all charges in front of a committee of some sort? I'm guessing this is the Imperial Courts that we've never seen?

I am really enjoying these issues. As it was said above, they are a little chatty so it would be cool to see more action, but Thrawn is my new favorite. I can see why he had such a big fan base when he was originally introduced.

Side note: I thought it was odd that writers felt the need to footnote something that happened in the issue before it. Is someone reading this comic starting at #2 and then going back to #1?

    Re. the gas...

In the novel they managed to get back the freighter. Unfortunately, a lot of the gas had already been removed by the time the got to its location.

There was some backlash for Thrawn because some of the higher ups thought he should have saved the gas instead of the crew.

I can definitely see a bit of Cate Blanchett/Spalko in Pryce, and perhaps even a touch of Mikkelsen in Thrawn.

It didn't really work in Crystal Skull so I don't know why it was brought into Rebels and of course now Thrawn.

Hm, Thrawn looks a bit too creepy for me in this. But I'll get it anyway of course.

Dense read, but as expected #1 was a dense read but the art looks great and it was a pretty cool story of Thrawn deciding to tackle things sideways that people don't expect. And he used a Buzz droid to blow the pirates out into space which was super harsh but kind of awesome. I liked at the end where his buddy could bail on Thrawn and he sticks with him, not so much out of loyalty really to Thrawn but more that he didn't like being a piece to play against a rising non-human in the Imperial ranks so he passed on the promotion.

If Thrawn were ever to get embarrassed, would his face turn purple?

I guess it depends on what color the Chiss' blood is in canon.

You're right. I assumed it was red. I hope I don't come off as a blood snob.

Well, Chiss blood *was* red in Legends, mind you, and there's no reason to assume it has changed. ;-) But you never know for sure until you've seen it.

Thrawn be all like "you kids go ahead and play now. nvm me up here."

    Novel spoiler, but:
is that Nightswan? That's not how I imagined him at all. But I guess IIRC there wasn't much of a description.

It's a solid addition to the popular "giant head in the background, smaller people in the foreground" motif.
I always thought Nightswan looked like this guy, who we originally see in the cantina before he's later reused as one of Jabba's thugs.

I don't know why, I'm pretty sure literally nothing in the novel describes him this way. It's just the first thing that popped into my head, and it stuck.

Wow, I never really took a good look at that guy before. Cool duds. Looks like he wasn't sure if he was going for pirate or cowboy.

But yeah, I imagined him as a... older... normal looking guy. One you'd easily overlook in a crowd. Not a hot Han Solo dude.

Well I gave up half way through the second issue. It was boring, full of standing and talking, and yet it wasn't explaining what was going on very well. The art has also taken a drop in quality, especially the backgrounds.
