I have no problem with liberal versions of Christianity that don't believe in Hell or Satan. I grew up with that. I have no problems with Theravada Buddhism or Vedic/Shaktian Hinduism, so long as their adherents all believe in equality and don't harm minorities or women.
What I cannot abide is the majority of fundamentalists in any religion. I dislike fundamentalism and prejudice in all faiths that choose to discriminate against and harm the oppressed. I do appreciate how atheists and secularists treat LGBTQ people better than religious people. Hell, even Jews and Muslims in America generally treat LGBTQ people better than traditional Christians, according to stats. What does that tell you?

Anyhow, back to the main point, many people just fear masturbation for stupid reasons. It's like how people fear that some humans will be attracted to birds or something. So stupid.

 

That's simply because they are themselves minorities and hence don't have the power to affect policy. Given power, their track records would be no different than Christians. Compare to places where they actually do have power, and you will find the same tendencies.
