Your first sentence and the rest dont sync up. First you have no problem with her politics, but then you criticize them. Also why wouldnt she be allowed to lead the narrative? Finn is naive to how the galaxy works. He was raised and lived in a bubble. Not to mention she is presenting as knowing the local and likely know who the clientele of this particular casino are. Maybe it is favored by weapons dealers. It also is just a very fleeting short conversation.

 

Thinking that only one demographic can afford to partake in a leisure activity, is not "politics".

Passing her error onto Finn within the storyline, and therefore leading the plot within the story to have these animals trample casino-goers, and justifying the action to the audience, relates to the narrative.

 

So the politics you feel they dwell into a false statement that only military profiteers can afford to gamble. Got it.

 

So wondering where the new attack on Star Wars by some fans came about. I am wondering about Soylo and Soy Boy. So found this video.



And saw that this same guy had 2 videos about Toxic fandom/racism in Star Wars after TFA released. Some have said that it was TLJ that brought this out because TLJ was divisive. Believe in reality as the world has become more toxic since 2015/2016 election and Trump's toxicity it has infected Star Wars fandom. It started way before TLJ and has just grown. Remember alt-right tried to boycott Rogue One claiming it was anti-Trump.

I said I had no problem with her politics.

My problem was with her tarring any gamblers able to raise stake money, as war profiteers - that is not a political view.

If I say only war profiteers, can afford to windsurf, that is not a political view, by itself.

 

Ok then I will say you are taking the dialogue far to literally. The dialogue wasnt a slight against all people that have enough money for high stakes gambling. I would say that is being a bit to sensitive.

 

Just saw that one of the first sources of Star Wars SJW agenda is none other then Alex Jones and Infowars.

 

I'm not surprised.

 

I hate it when people over-use the word "narrative." They think it makes them look educated, but in reality, they're employing an overused cliche.
