This is like the original PT Social Thread. So many happy memories.

 

Banana varieties will come and go due to the dangers of global monoculture but the takeaway is that some banana species is almost certain to outlast the human race. We are going to take ourselves out first.

 

In all seriousness... (is that even possible now?) it's only the commercial varieties that are in trouble. Bananas of all sorts grow like weeds here; you can pick your own. In other words, there's feral/wild stock they can fall back on.
