The preview looks great! Sad to see Emilio Laiso go, but I am a fan of Kev Walker's artwork too.

The credits reveal that Gillen is no longer co-writing, not sure if that's been pointed out before. I like Aphra's character but I haven't been loving the series lately because I've been finding the issues harder to follow. Because of that I didn't enjoy today's issue that much but I am still interested in seeing how the plot with Triple 0's memories is resolved.

Good issue but definitely different from the types of Aphra issues we have gotten in the past. A lot of the humorous dialogue Aphra often gives us was toned down. Of course that fit since she was in prison but it was still pretty noticeable

Be interesting to see if Sana stays in this story for very long. She hasn't been in the last couple arcs of the regular series so that definitely would have opened the door for her to come into this series

Also hopefully Gillen isn't done with this series as I think I'll highly prefer the way he writes the character as opposed to anyone else. Definitely would be pretty tough juggling two series though long term.

I thought the issue was pretty good. It was a little hard to follow, but if I read it again I think I'd have a better understanding.

Liked the issue a whole lot. This Aphra feels more like the one of the Vader series, more serious and sarcastic and less jokey daredevil. It fits the tone of the setting.

Does anybody know how the writing duties have gone so far for this series ever since they brought on a co-writer. Has the new person been writing most of the issues recently or was Gillen still the main person penciling each issue?

I'm sure how I feel about this issue. It wasn't bad, but I wouldn't say that it was amazing like the other Aphra issues.

this was a solid issue interesting to see Aphra at the lowest peg (her stay in Rebel Jail was a vacation compared to this). The entire methodology with the Imperial prisons and hub droids (that you have to find a new one and keep up or you explode!!) and the crazy ship are just gleefully cracked. and I love having Kevin Walker back on the art. No slight against the previous artist who I also thought was great but Kev Walker adds such a unique, quirky/dark somewhat madcap cartoony vibe to the book which makes me love it so much.

I guess that means She's going to work for Vader again. Maybe?

That's a possibility. Or it could mean that Vader kills her, hence my reaction in the previous post. Of course, we can't exclude the possibility that the tease in the solicit is just a marketing thing and Vader and Aphra don't meet in the comic at all.

Or Grand Moff Trachta survives a little longer in canon.

Damn, that looks like some lovely chaos. Can't wait for the next issue.
I love how she talks about my man Vader. "Cleansing fire of a billion suns" indeed.

Death Troopers attempting to interview witnesses is a hilarious concept.

I quite liked the story in this issue, bringing Sana into the story and learning about her history with Aphra was great. I'm glad Hera is becoming a recurring character in this series, I always like to see characters from the TV shows appearing in other media. This issue really showed how hard it is to be close to Aphra, from both Sana and Tolvan's perspectives, which I thought worked really well.

Good issue (though I have to admit that the new writer doesn't really put the same kind of sarcasm in his writing that Gillen did). Anyways the way this issue went it made it seem like Sana was no longer with the Rebellion. She hasn't been in the main series for a couple arcs now so I wonder if she did indeed leave the group?
