    Pancakes, no contest. Waffles have their place, and that place is good, but pancakes reign supreme, high above all other desert-like breakfast items. There is nothing like a stack of pumpkin pancakes, filled with melted chocolate chips and drowned in maple syrup, enjoyed on a crisp autumn morning with a hot cup of Tim Hortons.

    Whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa. Listen, pancakes may objectively be better than waffles, but that's no reason to diss waffles. If you don't like them, try calling them "warfles" instead. Say it out loud five times fast. If you don't smile at least a little bit, you’re beyond help. Warfles are here for you. Warfles are your friends.

    To celebrate the triumphant return of JCF's most valuable forum, I also ate pancakes this morning. And waffles yesterday morning.

    The veganism simultaneously made certain the pancakes were more ethical and infinitely less healthy.
