Solo The Digital/Blu-Ray Release of Solo: A Star Wars Story - Sept.14/Sept. 25

Can't wait for those deleted and extended scenes, specially Imperial cadet and the extended Mimban battle.
It'll be released on october third here in Brazil.

 

I quite like the main cover. I think the UK got the short straw, the title looks good in black, not sure why it has to be yellow and black.

 

I am pleased to see that the Steelbook will pack both the 3D and 2D versions. Seems Disney is learning their lesson, I hated what they did with TFA and R1 in Brazil, forcing us to pay for two separate releases.

TLJ was the first one to pack both versions, and Solo will follow this good trend.

 

Yeah, that's a longer list of bonus features and deleted scenes than I expected. Looking forward to adding this to the collection (the Blu-ray; I always get the physical release and use the digital codes it comes with as an extra).

 

Their calling the film Han Solo: A Star Wars Story now?

 

Certainly better marketing like that bumps it up a step but at best likely 484M then 384M WW.

It was that in some markets like Brazil as referenced above. Russia and Spain as well. In China it translates to Ranger Solo. Not that many saw it there!.

I'm very surprised we're getting deleted scenes. I would think that it's all from the Howard shoot, although the snowball fight strikes me as a Lord and Miller idea.

 

Is it just me, or does Qi'ra look like she's walking half-asleep?

Loved the movie, day one buy for me. Very happy with the cover art and bonus features. Can't wait to see those deleted scenes and the Director/Cast roundtable

Love it! Definitely a day one purchase for me. Possibly even a VOD pre-order.

 

I'm not a fan of the cover art. We had several cool looking retro style posters during the theatrical run, and instead we get the generic "characters walking towards you" cover.

Nice to see all the content they're tossing in here, though.

 

An easy Google Play purchase.
I haven't bought a Bluray or DVD in ages.
I'm not sure what I'd play it on.

 

Haven't seen Solo yet but that trailer was strong. They should have had that one originally.

Kinda reminds me of TLJ DVD trailer - told a different story than the film did imo. In this case, trailer seems to reflect a stronger film than the previous ones did.

 

There isn't a 3D version, is there? It's not the Steelbook as someone said above, no, the Steelbook is 4K and Blu-ray at Best Buy only. With The Last Jedi I found a 3D copy on eBay that was region free months after release, decided to pick it up too. I guess I'll see what shows up in the way of a 3D release.

 

For the brazilian market they chose to pack the BR 3D + BR 2D + Bonus disk on the steelbook, maybe because 4K BD-Player adoption is still too low in here. (as posted by @Giovs a little above this page)

For the US market maybe they are going with the combo you mentioned, but I am not sure.
