The piano that plays over the closing credits of ET is sublime.

Besides Star Wars? I would have to say Indiana Jones and Harry Potter. In fact my first soundtrack was Harry Potter, and then Star Wars. Ever since I have an obsession about movie scores.

This is probably my favourite single track from a non-SW William's score:

I'd love to see complete score releases of all three Harry Potter John Williams film scores.

Hopefully one day La La Land Records will make a Harry Potter collection like they did with Batman and Jurassic Park

I hope they do each film individually.

There are recording session leaks for the first two HP's at least, that cover pretty much the entire score. Poor Azkaban just has the standard OST.

Those are illegal though! (and in the case of the first score, too quiet (it definitely could use some album volume tinkering))
I'm looking forward to Askban though, apparently there are some real goodies not heard on album/in film. I'm hoping for that to be one of La La Land's titles this year (probably on Black Friday)

I still gotta say I'm surprised to see how many people hail Hook as their favorite-It's not bad IMO, but it never really stuck with me...

@dolphin, you mentioned Hook shaping your childhood appreciation for scores...I would say the Jurassic Park score did that very thing for me. I remember even listening to the soundtrack on my Discman, and imagining the actual scenes playing out in the movie as the corresponding score was playing. (JP was also my favorite movie at the time, for many years.)

I voted Harry Potter earlier, and I just recently took some time to listen to the score for Sorcerer's Stone-something I hadn't done in at least a few years-and I was reminded how beautiful that score is, and reminding me why it's my favorite!!

Hedwig's theme and Marion's theme and the Superman theme are 3 that come to mind.

I go for the 3 Potter Scores with Azkaban and Philosophers Stone in front of Chamber. Beside that: Indy, Hook and Schindlers List...

BUT: I LOVE John Williams. Without him I maybe wouldnt be as much into movie scores as Iam today. Another thing in my life which came from my childhood love of SW and is expanding and growing!
