1. When did you first watch Star Wars and what was your first impression?
I was 11 in 1977, there was no such thing as 'World Wide Release' back then and we in Australia had to wait till our September School holidays having heard the hype from the news from the other side of the planet. I stood in a line outside one of the big city cinemas (no suburban ones back then) for hours with a friend and her mum. We were excited, and everyone was around was talking excitedly. We finally got in and I will never forget the Star Destroyer coming in over what we felt were our heads back then. Had a profound effect on my life, and I managed to see it again 5 times in the coming weeks. A big deal for an 11 year old kid!

2. If you could add or take away one thing from the SW Canon, what would it be?
Jar Jar Binks. Sorry, but SW is not where physical comedy routines should be played out.

3. What is your favourite SW movie?
Always loved ROTJ, but these days Rogue One wins hands down.

4. How did you come up with your username?
I watched a TV show about a girl in Africa whose name was Adalia, I love the name. Amber was going to be my second daughters middle name, but he turned out to be a son and was named Luke instead. I also and desperately in e-love with Kyp Durron......figure the rest out!

5. What is your favourite food cuisine?
I love Chinese Honey Chicken!! Also love fresh mud cake and whipped cream! Neither are good for me..........but then nothing that tastes good is ever good for you.

 

Which SW character most closely matches your IRL personality?
I used to think Mara, these days, more motherly..........and I don't even know who that is.

You've been around here a while - what is your favourite memory of your time on JCF?
The Trial Of Zarkinfrood!! @zark s trial had me in fits of laughter for days/weeks. Meeting real JC'ers has been a highlight. Met @Maulfly and @Grand Admiral Strife Admiral Strife 15 years ago with others (who are no longer around) and that was the most amazing experience of my life. Flying to the US for 10 days, attending a Convention and meeting the most amazingly wonderful people.

How did you get involved in WNU before your became its mother?
I am a mother in RL, so I tend to be mothering in all aspects of my life. At my local archery club they often call me the pied piper as where ever I am is where you find most the teens and young adults. I love it. So welcoming people just seemed natural to me, normal. I gravitated to people who need someone to say 'hello', and I have a knack for picking up when people need 'someone' to talk to

 

If you could make a lightsaber, what would it look like?
slimline, gold handle, amethyst switch and purple blade........

Which is the greatest condiment/sauce?
Chocolate!!

Could you last a month without the JCF?
I did for a year or two..........so yeah I guess.

Do you prefer reading from books or eBooks?
Real books, they feel good, they smell good, and they don't flat.

 

Are your a morning or night person?
Night Owl for sure.

What is your favorite season of the year and why?
Spring, flowers, sunshine, cool nights, warm days.

Do you like water sports?
Not really, never been good at them

If you could write a novel for SW, would it be Legends or new canon, and what would be the driving plot?
Legends for sure, its where my heart is. It'd be about a bunch of pilots and the adventures they get up to.

Have you ever delved into costuming for SW?
You know I have....X Wing, Leia Bespin, Jedi, Sith (Yes!) are all done and dusted.

What was your favorite car that you owned?
The one I am about to sell due to the cost of running and insuring it. My turbo Veloster.

Not to mention the speeding fines I've managed to accumulate.......

 

Was there a costume that was an absolute joy to do?
I really enjoyed making Padme's picnic gown, hours of embroidery and tiny flower sequins. Also loved painting my Bespin cape, 56 hours of painting.

Was there one which surprised you by how it had turned out?
My Sons Kylo Ren, I was proud as I completed it BEFORE the movie came out and I was close!!!

Standout scenes from your favorite SW movies/novels?
The sniping between Luke and Mara I loved. There's a scene with Jaina, Jag and Kyp where he was sure they were out to kill him that I loved. And in Courtship of Princess Leia, the scene where Luke is taken prisoner. "You can't just take men for.........."

What is it about Kyp that floats your boat? (I know you could write a book!)
Flouts the rules, and plays at the edge of them. Dark good looks with green eyes and a touch of vulnerability that he hides.

Sweetest/Hallmark moment tied to a wedding anniversary? (SQUEE!)
Mine? Husband told me to pack a bag for the weekend, wouldnt tell me where we were going. Took me to Kangaroo Island for the weekend, was a wonderful trip. First wedding anniversary, 27 years ago now.

Do you find coming up with OCs for fics easier or harder than for RPGs?
Yeah, I struggled to create someone not far from me, but I am not bad at adopting others personalities. If you write me a character, I can write it.

Would you fly with Kyp's Dozen?
In a heartbeat, but I'd make sure I had 'wormed' my way into his attention so he'd be less likely to do something dangerous with me!

 

How did you first get into RPGs?
Years ago on another board I used to run myself with my sister in law @GoddessJainaSoloFel Started in thread as pretending to punish people in character for silly things they did. @Rebecca_Daniels and @Warrior_Goddess will remember.

Best type of chocolate (like, caramel, mint, etc.)?
Dark Rum and Raisin, but dark mint or dark orange are good too.

If you could bathe in anything besides water, what would you bathe in?
Funny thing, I'm not a 'bath' person at all, and showers are 5 mins max for washing only. So I can't imagine 'bathing' in anything other than water.

Do you think you'd be a good pilot IRL?
I love speed, I love control (hate being a passenger) and I love flying, but I suspect the knowledge and study in this world would hold me back big time.

 

Best memory from those silly GC days?
The Friendships and trust I was given by you guys. I was surrounded by teens who told me their deepest secrets and trusted me with them. I still have them all. And the saddest? The loss of Rhys. Connecting with his mother after his death (in a car accident) was one of the most powerful moments in my life and one I will never forget. For a moment I was able to show her a world her son hung out in that she knew nothing of.

Best highlight of the Shadow Sabres story?
When Kooky hung Rootys A Wing upside down from the Hangar roof, a moment in history!!!

Best part of being a Sith, at the time?
Friends, I met some great people there.

Least favourite SW book?
Crystal Star........waste of paper and ink.

Favourite SW toy/action figure?
All my X Wings! My 50cm Poe, my boxed Wedge/Biggs dolls.

Best type of ewok?
The Dancing Kind Of course!

 

What was the first SW EU book/book series that you read?
Heir to the Empire, back in 1990 if I remember right.

What is your favourite non-SW book series?
Rangers Apprentice Series, Awesome books

Where do you want to visit on a holiday, but haven't yet?
London - Europe

What is your favorite memory from your time on the JCF?
Over 15 years there have been way too many, but becoming an RSA was awesome, then an EU mod, and when I was approached to be a WNU Mod, that was a shock!

 

What do you think of Thrawn and compare him please in Legends and in the New Canon?
I am surprised they brought him back having banished all the Legends, gives me hope for Kyp!! I haven't seen enough to compare but he seems like the Thrawn we all read about.

Do you like Rebels?
I love Rebels.

Pancakes, waffles, or something else for breakfast?
Bacon, these days I eat Keto and have bacon.

Favorite style of music (jazz, pop, etc.)?
Pop, rock, ballads, a bit of country.
