ST Greg Grunberg (Snap Wexley) in Episode IX

I'm actually really happy about this. I like seeing consistency in our background pilots. I was disappointed he wasn't in TLJ.

This is the kind of stuff that drives me crazy...Would it have killed RJ to have Snap in a few scenes in TLJ even if he's in the background or just glimpsed briefly in the cockpit, and then seen in the crowd at the end in the Falcon? It's dumb that they had to do a whole retcon for Snap in comics and book just because RJ wanted to cast other day players as Resistance Fighters instead of Snap.

 

I don't imagine that Snap not being in it had much to do with RJ. GG was just doing other stuff. He's really only in VII because he's JJ's good luck charm.

That said I agree that some continuity between films when it comes to resistance staffers would have made some sense.

I mean will we get comics to explain the absence of Statura, Brance and Dr Kalonia? Maybe they only work weekends and then D'acy, Holdo and Cai take over on Monday morning for the evacuation?

Anyway, if they somehow incorporate Temmin's Mister Bones B-1 battle droid into the movie SOMEHOW that would be crazy. But,hey, Maul showed up in Solo so you never know.

If they can get Jessica Hennwick "Jes Pava" back I would be very happy.

 

It's like it's what a series called STAR Wars is supposed to be or something!

 

I don't know, a big exciting space battle would be total fan service.

 

Snap is actually recently married man.( #Poe Dameron comics)

He has interesting wife, who is also Resistance pilot, I think it would be nice if she could maybe be in it to?.

 

I think it just wasn't something Rian was concerned with at all.

GG isn't THAT busy that he can't shoot two days on a Star Wars movie to be in a scene or two, sitting in a cockpit with green screen or on the Falcon at the end. No way. I doubt he was even called.

 

She might be dead. The latest issue of the Poe comic ended on quite the cliffhanger.

 

If Episode IX starts with Snap funeral are you mad because
A) he dead
B) Han didn't get a funeral
C) All of the above

 

I wonder if some of the deleted material with Leia includes Snap, and his presence is here to support that?

Since when did Star Wars films graduate all support and minor characters to the next episode? There are plenty of Imperial and Rebel staff that don't make it past a single film. Would it have killed George Lucas to include Generals Dodonna or Tagge in Empire or Jedi? Why isn't Rieekan in ROTJ?

Already TLJ carries over likely more Resistance characters, from major to minor, than likely any film in the OT does.

Frankly what's so special about Snap that he needed to be in TLJ?

He was in a trade dispute with Maz, the Knights of Ren, and Lando obviously.

 

47 Minutes into the film, Snap Wexley will arrive. A big Slusho in his hands, lense flares glaring, as his X-Wing stereo blasts "You All Everybody" by Driveshaft.

 

Maybe he can read people's minds...

 

for real. When i'd heard the rumor that they'd had him killed off screen before TLJ, i got pissed. Its beginning to look like TLJ may feel like some pocket universe in the ST. Characters vanish for no reason, but then return for the final story. I'm not complaining.

EDIT: it'd also be great to see iden versio's daughter show up.

 

The Snap is Back.
