Am I the only one here who liked the novelization for The Force Awakens?

    Like, god damn.

I mean it was "alright".. Apart from maybe two or three Disney canon books, nothing really seems to hit the same notes as some old EU books for me.. Not sure why honestly

I can’t give my opinion as the only new canon novels I have invested in are the Thrawn novels.

Labyrinth of Evil and Revenge of the Sith are still respectively at the top for me. Crosscurrent is proving to be quite interesting. My only qualm so far is it is focusing more on the Jedi end than I would like. Of course, I think I’m only four chapters in. It’s just hard for me to finish a book swiftly these days.

Kaleesh, the end of Crosscurrent is brilliant, and the start connects to the Lost Tribe novels. Positively brilliant and ethereally creepy books.

Also it has had an influence on NST III...

Yes, “creepy” is definitely an appropriate descriptive word for the overall feel of Crosscurrent.

Congratulations on the new thread! Also, as I understand it posts are always welcome from Saturday after updates through Thursday! ;)

As merely a member of the game I shall fade back into the shadows now.

    Merely a tag away.

I liked the novelization. I prefer how Poe and Rey met in that version tbh

    Another task apprentice.

Unless, you feel to tired from cleaning, which I appreciate... But that's slave and peon work..

Do you know the Sith Code? Tell me of one historic Sith that you envy and the reasons you respect them.

+1 Prestige is available upon completion.

Perhaps it is, but it provides a nice break from my normal day of reading and training. *Shrug*

As for the task, my answer is quite simple. Darth Bane, without a doubt. From humble beginnings as a cortosis miner, to becoming a terrifyingly powerful Sith Lord, possibly even the Sith'ari itself, Bane's life is one to be equally celebrated as well as studied. Bane was able to break his chains, rising up above his fellow Sith by pure skill and power alone, and ultimately purifying the Sith as a whole.

I envy both his power, and the resources he attained later on in his life.. If a miserable miner can achieve such strength through sheer willpower alone, who's to say that I won't as well? He's the first Sith, at least from what I've read about, from that time period that understood that rushing headlong into a battle wasn't always the correct move. Sometimes, one needs to learn everything they can about an enemy before striking, even if that process can take months or years. That ability to wait out an opponent is an ability I incredibly respect..

I hope my answer meets your expectations, Master.

Hmmm, to start at the bottom to rise to the top. You can look no further than your Master himself. Darth Bane reinvented an era, Do you feel you have enough blind commitment to achieve what I have? This is the True Sith Empire... add 1 prestige to your total and expect a much more involved task next..
