Why did you join the JCF?

I was looking for Luke/Mara fanfiction so I googled it and found fanfictions that captured my notice. I could not lurk then!

Why such a long username?

"Nyota" is for Nyota Uhura & Ayesha is for the original character created by Chyntuck -- a courageous, vivacious lovely artist she paired with Thrawn! Serious fangirl thrills!

What is the best kind of food?

Hmmm. Broadly speaking, I have to mention 2 categories: sushi for the entree. For the dessert category, anything with chocolate!

But seriously, caramel apple tartlets and guava cream cheese pastries are super duper for breakfast!

Do you have any pets/want any pets?

Never did, don't want any either.

What are your favorite kinds of fanfiction to read? To write?

I love reading short stories to epics, with lots of character/relationship growth, humor, action, and mush! To write: I usually do shorter pieces, drabbles, vignettes, short stories.
I absolutely adore AUs and missing moment type fics.

Favorite planet?

I like Alderaan very much & Chandrila. The culture(s) as well as the physical loveliness.


Favorite Star Wars name?

Mara & Jaina

Favorite hobbies?

I love listening to jazz and reading: besides fan fictions, I read biographies and nonfiction works.
I also like a good mystery once in a while & historical fiction.

I have recently branched off into role playing and enjoy that and also pop into social threads to catch up on what's going on and give well wishes/sympathy as needed.

No, never thought about collecting anything, just books.

Yes, my family does.

Hmmm. Not sure there is anything, since anything I needed to know I learned as I went along.

Going on a mission of adventure and discovery, helping out a person or society in distress. Probably would ground it during the OT or soon thereafter.

Oooh, what a fascinating question! I can't think of a real person who needs a new biography, but I would have loved in SW a completely Mara-centric novel, and now I want that kind of thing focusing on the Rebels crew.

Not recently, but for a while there it would've been for being a perpetual student. I have a couple graduate degrees, and a couple of certifications, the latter 2 for career changes I've gone through.

"How did you get into writing fanfics?"

There was a challenge called "Monday Mush Mania", where you write a fic that's warm and fuzzy and post it on Monday It can be romantic mush or sweet moments between parent/child, siblings, friends.
So I wrote a fic called "Two Dances Across Time". I haven't looked back since!

"When did you first experience Star Wars?"

Oh no! I'm dating myself. With "A New Hope" right around when it first came out in theaters.

"Favourite SW canon characters?"

Han/Leia will always, always be up there!

Also, the entire "Ghost" crew:
Kanan/Hera, Ezra, Zeb, & Sabine, and don't forget, Chopper!

"Favourite SW Legends character?"

Mara Jade. Favorite character that could go in either: Thrawn.

Hmmm. Can't say about funniest, but most wonderful: riding a dolphin, and another: singing like Celine Dion. I wish!

No. But I have e-sibbed a few. LOL

It was the reading of 2 Zahn novels: Vision of the Future and Survivor's Quest.
Vision of the Future had me going FINALLY! when L/M got together & Survivor's Quest was L/M-centric. Lovely!
