He made some important contributions to the saga (though not quite as much as he sometimes made out) but regardless if George Lucas likes and appreciates you that much then that says something.

He produced two of my favorite movies ever, which are also the two best Star Wars movies. I salute him.

As a survivor of cancer, I am especially sad to hear his passing away from cancer. He seemed like a wonderful man, and was involved in two of my favorite movies ever. May he rest in peace.

This is a big loss :( He was one of the best and produced some brilliant movies, that I still watch to this day besides Star Wars. RIP mate.

Let's not do this here. Feel free to express condolences and/or sadness for Mr. Kurtz's passing, but let's not go into arguments with each other over personal stances on his work

    One and only warning

    He produced 3 great films:

    American Graffiti
    Star Wars
    The Empire Strikes Back

Too bad he and Lucas never made Apocalypse Now. The Coppola versions are masterpieces, and we got a hint of what Lucas had in mind from More American Graffiti. Lucas’ s version sounded so wicked.
