I never understood the hand-wringing over the Deadpool threads. I always used it as an opportunity to pay tribute when people I loved/respected died. Yeah, we made our purposely tasteless jokes, but I think they were mostly affectionate. And the bickering about what constituted a celebrity was just part of the fun. I never participated in the games, but I love the threads.

 

Borrowing it from my favorite local radio talk show... they've been doing their Ghoul Pool for decades; always is great when somebody famous enough dies, as they always mention how many listeners picked that person in the Pool. A casket was offered as a prize one year.

 

Nothing stopping you tallying them up.
